We enjoyed our stay in this unique home. It had everything we could ask for to make our weekend comfortable, including beautiful photography on the inside and lovely exterior gardens that our granddaughters enjoyed.
Great location! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the white squirrels. Sunday morning we had a bear wander in the yard to check out a peach tree! Lots of wildlife, yet very close to town.
Pictures makes the house look much nicer than it really is.
For the price that we paid per night the place would receive a generous 3-star. The listing said it had a propane grill. Nope it does but it is still in an unopened box at the front entryway. The driveway is very narrow so no wide vehicles can get down to the house. There was dog or cat hair on the futon/single bed. ( Bad because my child is allergic to cats & dogs). We make sure the listing did not allow pets for this reason, yet there was dog food and cat litter pan. We packed only a few articles of clothing because washer and dryer was available. Dryer was broken made loud noise when turned on and didnât heat. The âMasterâ bathroom has only a 1/2 shower door so mopping up water after your shower is a must and it makes your shower feel cold. Lights switches didnât work. You would have to guess and test 4 different switches to turn a light on. The basement downstairs was musty smell & dehumidifier needed to be emptied about every 6 hours. The house is really cut up in sections that doesnât flow like you think it does in the posted pictures on website. The carpet in upstairs top floor is old and has stains. It is apparent that owner purchased house with good intentions to finish renovating but appears to have stopped. The house is just very choppy. We ordered 2 bundles of firewood and didnât receive those. Doors to the deck were very difficult to lock. Communications with management of property was great. Cleanliness was a 2-3. I had to clean shower/tub short body hair in it.
This is a very large, very beautiful house, hidden down a long driveway just outside of Brevard.
It's a very good place for a family; very little sound transfers between the three floors. The stairs may not be great for toddlers. Our teenager and preteen each found their own preferred corners when they wanted time apart.
Inside is decorated with some very clever photography. Outside has decks, a patio, and flower gardens. Almost every room large windows. In winter it should have a view of Caesar's Head across the valley.
The car port has a bike maintenance rack, which we hope to use on our next trip. Biking into Brevard on Country Club Road involves climbing a small hill, but only about a mile ride.
The car port's roof was too low for the Ram 1500 (manager's special) I rented at the airport. Getting in and out of the driveway in a reasonable-sized car would have been easier.
The house is exceptional! It is modern and located at a perfect distance from downtown Brevard. It has very interesting collection of books in different topics and languages that made our stay an intellectual affair.
My family had a wonderful time at this house and in Brevard. The house exceeded our expectations and it was close to lots of outdoor activity options. Highly recommend!
My husband and I wanted to take our grandson to North Carolina. This property was perfect - felt secluded but was easy to get to main roads, Brevard, and parks.
