We booked the trip and had an unexpected emergency and then death of a family member. No we did not buy the insurance at first but definitely tried to after (about a week) due to our unforeseen situation. We were not permitted by the site. So we do not want to lose our friends money who booked with us, so we went. The pool was not warm despite the purchase of the pool heater, and the king bedroom bathroom has a sewer smell coming from the drains. The host was slow to respond prior to the date of the trip and when we asked about a light in the pool for evening time, we never received a response. The whole thing was just hard. The house is nice and the bra is beautiful, and we did swim some. It just would have been nice for some compassion and better communication. It was the beginning of spring break so Iâm sure they would have been able to book the home if we were permitted to cancel due to life circumstances. We learned a hard lesson during a painful time. We will always get insurance because we cannot count on compassion. It was nice to be able to connect with nature at the beach and we do appreciate the house. We hope the next person has a better experience all the way around
