TRUE REVIEW- READ! Very small property, very small pool, lack of entertainment, speciality restaurants not good at all, foods poisoning at the lunch buffet, room is very noisy if there a events , 10 pm we still heard music very loud, New Year blast of music till 2:30 AM! Booked ocean view room, check in and we figure out - we barely can see any sea! It parking lot view! Lack of options for vegetarian, lack of entertainment! Staffs careless when u had foods poisoning!!! NOT RECOMMENDED THIS RESORT AT ALL!! Beware of time share / vacation club guy patrolling at the lobby area! Overall you not feel welcome at all! This resort not the same like Fiesta Americana at Los Cabo’s, this resort not even close to Fiesta Americana los Cabo’s. Will not returned! If we can rate 0 we will do so!! 3 speciality restaurants, 3 not good at all! Mexican restaurants @ the resort the worse, my teenagers refuse to go back! Check in a nightmare!!! After check in they sit you down with vacation club people!!! Come on !!! No common sense at all !!! We are waking up from 3 am and you really think we will want to sign up for vacation club !!!

The staff (Alejandra at the buffet, Juan and Aaron the bartenders at the beach) were fantastic! Everyone else were great too! Very friendly staff. Rooms were a bit dated and oddly repaired (bathroom exhaust vents replaced with smaller vents than the original, and chaulking looked like I had done it, and that's not good..lol), but big rooms overall. Big balconies with great views on the 4th floor. The restaurants were good and not too busy at the start of Christmas vacation. It was getting busier when we left. The sushi bar was very good. Buffet for breakfast and lunch had lots of selection. The Grill and La Cevicheria restaurants on the beach had excellent food! The fish tacos were delicious. Overall the food was what you would expect at an all inclusive. Every night there were shows and quite often vendors with neat things (street painter, ceramics, clothing, etc). Snorkelling right off the dock was really cool with lots of colourful fish to see. Water shoes helped getting in and out of the water as there is no sandy beach area.

We love the location, the food is really good, the rooms are large and clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, and it is a good value for your money. The problem is the noise around the pool. In the afternoons they have pool games with the hostess screaming into a microphone with the volume cranked up. There are only about 10 people playing the games and they are all within 20 feet of her so no need to scream.....she really doesn't even need a microphone. In the evenings they have disco/dance music around the pool. Again, there are only about 10 people attending but the volume is cranked way up. They obviously don't understand the demographic of people the resort attracts. The entertainment is for single, 20 somethings, looking for action. The people staying there are couples/grandparents with young children, and middle-age to seniors who are in Cozumel for the diving and/or relaxation. It's hard to relax when you can hear and feel the vibration of the base when you're in you're in your room, and you can't sit on your balcony because of the loud screaming or music. I should note that all of the rooms overlook the pool and the ocean so you can't get away from the noise. If you ignore the noise, I give it a 5. But you can't ignore it, so I give it a 3. We would love to come back, but that is highly unlikely unless the noise is addressed.

This was our sixth stay at Fiesta Americana Cozumel. The resort is consistently maintained. The staff is great. Many of the staff are familiar to us and we love seeing them each time we stay.

The hotel is very nice, large rooms and good food. The reason for the poor review is because of loudness of the pool and staff performing pool a activities. The constant noise starts about 3:00-5:00 and again around 7:00-9:00. You cant get away from it since all rooms face the pool. Its impossible to sit on your balcony and read a book. I hate to say it but I do not plan to go back.

They treat the hotel like a night club. Pounding base music all day until late in the evening, reverberating to all rooms facing the ocean/pool. And when they do the Karaoke by the pool, it's just CRAZY. Never again.

Not fancy, but our favorite place to stay on Cozumel. It is out of town, so nice and quiet. Very good snorkeling, and pier to meet dive boats. Staff are excellent. Food is good but typical for resorts, with somewhat limited variety. Inexplicably, ice cream is not available at the coffee bar until after 1:00!! It is right there in the cooler, but they wouldn't serve it to us. Hopefully that will change, but even if not, we plan to return.

Check in process was lengthy, sat around for an hour while waiting for room to be ready. To be fair we also got there at about 2:30, which is before check in time. During this time we were approached by a time share sales person who was somewhat pushy. He kept trying to get us to do the timeshare presentation for the next few days whenever we would see him around the hotel. Restaurants could use a varying menu, same 5-6 entrees offered each night. Portion size was on the small side if you are used to american sized meals. It was fine for us, we are not big eaters, but some may want to be sure they order appetizer, and soup, entree, and desert in order to be filled.

We had a great time in off season. The property was clean and service was great. Ac was very cold. I love the beds and lounging. Plenty of access to towels. I loved that the food in buffets were closed off for bugs. Because it was off season it wasn’t crowded and very pleasant. The water is beautiful with many fish to see. It was so warm and clear. Pool service was fantastic. Aaron was great. The seafood restaurant had some of the best food I’ve had at an all inclusive. Taxi ride to downtown was about $15 and 10 minutes. Plenty of seats and towels. Cons: Kids club didn’t open until 12. The buffet wasn’t open at night but you need a reservation to the restaurants. The Mexican restaurant was great but we did not like the Asian. When checking out the elevator was broken. We were on the 6th floor. I traveled with 3 kids solo and had several bags and a stroller and no one would answer the phone for help. The spa amenities do not come with service when you book. I’ve never been to a resort that doesn’t let you use the hot tub or sauna if you book a service. We all had massages and weren’t allowed to use the amenities.
