Were very pleased with the property. Spacious and extra sink in bedroom was a bonus. Manager was super quick to remedy a tv Roku problem. Ideally located to travel to Redwood National Forest. Seals in the harbor put on quite a show in the afternoon.
The apartment is nice, simple, and very clean. Itâs not a luxury apartment, but it was adjacent for the two of us. It was a perfect base of operations to spend time viewing the Redwoods it is close to lots of restaurants. Seaquake Brewery is just a short ride away and is a fantastic spot. Great food, beer and atmosphere. We had a bit of trouble finding it. Different GPS data bases went to different locations. Perhaps listing the GPS coordinates would make it simpler. Overall a nice place and perfect location for our adventures.
Difficult to get ahold of property manager Alex(placing 4 calls to his real estate office only to get voicemails) upon arrival to find dirty apartment. After waiting 45 mins for cleaner to come and she only spent a little over an hour cleaning (bedding covers not cleaned)! Property manager Alex was not receptive to my asking for a free night for the inconvenience-he kept putting me off and said he sent emails which he did not. Never had a VRBO ask to contact cleaner upon leaving property so they can come & clean (that is probably why the unit was dirty upon arrival).
I feel this situation was mismanaged. I have worked in the hospitality industry for years and definitely would have handled this situation in favor of the client. And Alex is in real estate!? Remember customer service. The customer is always right.
We really enjoyed Crescent City and the Redwood forests. The unit was exactly as advertised. We were very pleased with it. We knew it was right on highway 99 so expected some road noise which did not detract from our experience. The unit was fresh & clean and exactly what we needed.
This is in a the middle of town directly on the 101. Blackberries growing in the back. Clean, full kitchen.. large TV. If we weren't so short of cash in this economy we would have stayed another week.
