The hotel toom was a good size, and clean to. Staff are friendly . Building work at the hotel no mention of it when i booked, was quite loud. Hot tub was ok would have beem good if it was a little bigger in size. But a lovely stay ☺️

The Clayton Hotel was overall a decent hotel. We were disappointed that we were not informed ahead of time of the extensive construction on the hotel. We realize at times they have to be updated but disappointed we weren't given a heads up. Breakfast was decent and the rooms were large and well appointed. There is a walk to most things and dining establishments were at times a bit of a walk. Not too much in the immediate area. We would possibly stay again as for the most part it was a good hotel stay.

If I had known the property was under renovation, I would have picked another hotel. Getting into the hotel involved a long walk from the street with our suitcases. My wife has mobility issues. Why there is not a way to request a porter at the taxi stand is beyond me. Then since the property wants to be "green", everyday we had to request more towels. It was not a very pleasant experience.

Great location, city centre only 15/20minute walk away. Plenty of selection for breakfast, friendly staff, pool, sauna, steam room and a hot tub, a nice bonus. Currently building work in progress, which wasnt an issue but was not made aware prior to arrival. Also building work next door to the hotel again no issues with noise or anything. Rooms are slightly dated, shower water pressure poor, due an upgrade but very clean, spacious and a comfy bed. No air con in the room, a fan is provided but not the best. Overall great hotel, would stay again.

A bit far from much of anything. Room was a bit dirty stains on floor and pillows. Staff couldn’t even give us a recommendation for where to eat when they advised the restaurant was closed at like 9pm. Meh. Wouldn’t stay there again. Oh and the pool sucked cause tons of kids and you have to wear swimmer hats. Weird.

The property was very safe and in walking distance to most venues, under 2kms from Temple bar area (we enjoy getting out and walking around). The room was large and the bed was comfortable (we had larger king room). Unfortunately the hotel was being renovated at the time and we had issues with the water, which was out of the control of the staff, which was professional given the stressful situation. The rating would definitely be higher under normal circumstances. I would stay there again under the right circumstances.
