1) WE were SO exhausted and hungry when we arrived as we did not expect to be rerouted, it was pouring rain from Vik to Eligsstaor! We are not familiar with roads, back roads etc ...to make the story short, we arrived later than we expected! We arrived at 8:27 pm and we were so hungry and tired we wanted to eat at the restaurant on site since it closed at 9 pm and they refused service ! Although they still had 30 mins before closing for service ! This was very poor customer service! We are older women in our 60's and we explained the situation to the young lady at the reception but she still refused ! We had to go out again and find a place to eat close by ! Thank God we found one walking distance from hotel that was also closing at 9 pm but we walked in that restaurant at 8:45 pm and they accepted us! 👌 Also, the shower has absolutely no water pressure! I could not wash my hair ! It took forever to rinse my body ! I would never recommend this place ! Ever! All the other hotels we have been so far on this trip were great but this one !!!

The staff at this hotel were wonderful and helpful. The location for this hotel was fantastic, with lots of parking. It was a large room with a comfortable bed. The burger they sell at the bar was one of the best I had on the trip. We enjoyed our stay!

Hotel was clean and had comfortable beds. My only complaint was the pillows need to be replaced. They were very flat. Room was on the warm side, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Comfy hotel but poor WiFi

Comfy clean room. Nice food in the restaurant although expensive, even for Iceland. WiFi very poor or non existent in both rooms and bar/restaurant area, not great when you are trying to plan the next fees days on a road trip.

A very nice stop-over hotel. Unfortunately we did not dine there so cannot comment on food. Modern rooms were very clean. Outlook from room was over the car park to shops and a building site but it was extremely quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel in a good location

Nice hotel in a very walkable area of town. Across the parking lot from a liquor store, grocery store and a little bistro, Salt. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was decimated by a tour group right before we got there and it took a very long time to refill items but otherwise it was ok.

This is a not the property for you if you’re traveling in the hotter and longer summer months. Everything was nice, but it was way too hot. Normally I would open a window, but there is an incredibly strong manure smell outside so it is difficult to open a window. The sun beaming into the room causes a greenhouse effect, which would be great in the winter/fall but not during the summer. The curtains aren’t black out curtains, so it is impossible to completely block out the sun making it still very hot. The property itself is great, apart from the manure smell outside, non black out windows, and the greenhouse effect.

Stayed at a couple of this chain's properties and they offer good value, above average accommodation with newer rooms, good buffet breakfast and restaurant onsite. Dining options were very limited, but that's not atypical for Iceland.
