Castello di Velona Resort Thermal SPA & Winery

"Das Hotel ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Die Umgebung, das äussere Erscheinungsbild als auch das Personal sind gut. Allerdings haben sie mafiöse Preise. Wir hatten eine Suite mit 2 Schlafzimmern für 900 CHF. Das Zimmer ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt wenig modern. Die Badezimmer waren alt und sehr klein, die Betten durchgelegen. Der Spa ist ein Thermalbad, allerdings funktioniert die Hälfte nicht, Licht viel aus, Experience-Duschen funktionierten nicht, und das ganze wirkt ziemlich lieblos und nicht besonders gepflegt.
Der Hammer war jedoch das Restaurant. 40 € für eine einfache Pasta, das Filletsteak war garniert mit kalten Kartoffeln, verwelktem Salat und ein Paar Tomaten, das Ganze wurde als Gemüse verkauft. Der Wein (Brunello aus der Region) startete bei 120 € die Flasche, Wein aus der eigenen Produktion bei 200 € die Flasche. Hinzu kommen stolze 10% Service-Charge auf die Gesamt-Rechnung, dem Kellner schien das Ganze sehr unangenehm zu sein, der meinte die 10% seien für die "property". Das Ganze die Krönung aufgesetzt hat jedoch das Wasser für das Zimmer, man wollte mir dies mit 8€ die Flasche verrechnen, das Ganze auf der Restaurant-Rechnung, mit zusätzlich 10 % Service-Charge.
Das Hotel ist der Nepp und man verscheissert hier die Kunden. Nicht zu empfehlen und bitte meiden. Solche Methoden zerstören das Bild vieler guter Hotels."
