Faulty advertising and room type by Hotels.com

I had reserved a certain room type and paid for the room three months earlier. A day before arrival, the Amiral hotel contacted me and downgraded me claiming Hotels.cim was at fault. I was placed in the center with no help from Amiral Hotel and Hotels.com customer service is useless. Beware- the Amiral hotel will give you what ever room they chose with no consequences.

A most escellent hotel!

The Amiral Palace hotel is most excellent. The service is excellent. Thank you to Veysal, Mrs Tugba and Yusuf at the front desk who managed every issue for our group of people. The breakfast was excellent, there are panoramic views of the Marmara Sea and I especially enjoyed the local spread. The service at the breakfast restaurant was also exemplary, the large hotels can learn from them. A gem in Istanbul!

The hotel is a great location literally 5 mins from the blue mosque, hagia Sophia and topkapi palace. Staff very friendly and helpful. The heated pool is great. Rooftop restaurant serves great breakfast and views are fantastic. Dinners at rooftop restaurant is a bit hit and miss first day was great but last day food was cold. Restaurants around the hotel are very expensive and not all have good food. Small market bazaar nearby as well. Hotel offers shuttle service from airport.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, close to major attractions, making it easy to walk almost everywhere without needing a taxi. The service was excellent, and breakfast had a great selection. Mohamed went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. While the room was a bit small and the steam room was unfortunately not functional when needed after a long day of walking, I would still highly recommend this hotel.

Loved our stay at Amiral. It's a short walk to Hagia Sofia and Topkapi, the breakfast buffet was incredible and the pool/spa was a big plus (completely enjoyed the hammam). We'll be staying here again on our next visit to Istanbul.

The service was amazing! Got a detailed intro to Istanbul and places most recommended to Visit. Everything is walkable distance especially For those who want to see the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia! Place was clean, breakfast is amazing with a view so make sure to add that additional option. Lobby is always kept clean, highly recommend to stay here. Areas around this place is a whole bunch of dining but be aware that a lot of these restaurant owners will Haggle you to come into these restaurants, I suggest dining places further away from this area.
