Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa offers 402 accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature laptop-compatible safes and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to balconies or patios. Staff did everything they could to make the stay enjoyable. The free tram is a real bonus for families with little kids that want an easy option to dine off-site but near the resort.

All of the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and nice. Only things I would change is maybe a covered walkway from the outside restaurants/bars for when it does rain. Also would have liked a little more heads up on the amount of money they put on hold on your credit card upon check in.

This is a family friendly resort. Make no mistake about that. At least there was an adult pool. Even the finest restaraunt had kids. There should be more adult only spaces. Rooms are extremely dated. It took three room changes to just be comfortable. The rooms are not luxury. Maybe the suites are I don’t know. Lobby bar was excellent. For coffee in the am and drinks at night. The restaurants are just ok. Nothing really grabbed us on the property. We ate outside the resort twice in San Fernadina. But on a Tuesday good luck finding a place even in peak season. The manager of Omni explained they are undergoing a 7.5 million dollar renovation. The place needs it. Grounds are run down. So many old trees, old railings, old walkways. Expect many extra fees. Parking, resort fees etc. maybe I’ll come back in two years if I have grandchildren. That’s the perfect vacation with family , extended family when you want a big resort and just hang. Beach was lovely but 50 dollars for two chairs and an umbrella and a far walk to any bathroom.
