AWFUL! I honestly have no idea how this hotel can claim it is 5-star. Came to Bali on our honeymoon and decided to book this resort as a treat (we rarely stay in 5-star accommodation). Was so excited to have a premium experience and relax but we were met with the complete opposite. This resort has some SERIOUS work to do if they want to maintain their 5-star claims. * Rooms have no soundproofing. Kept awake or woken up every night. * Major construction on both sides of hotel which nobody warned us of * No where near enough staff around - especially the pool area. No towels at desk. Monkeys knocking over drinks and taking things. * A staff member called our room at 11.30pm waking us up. * Rooms in bad shape. Tatty over-used robes. Broken light fixtures. * breakfast buffet is average. Cold food. This is just touching the surface. Avoid this place at all costs.

After a slight delay on checking-in (room not ready and a bit slow to resolve), we were shown to a lovely, spacious room. Beautiful pool area and good restaurant and bar service. Walk to beach was a bit hairy down some precarious steps to local beach but great sundowners a short walk along beach (nothing to do with hotel - maybe this should be made a bit clearer). Overall a good experience, would stay again.

Pros: --Very nice, luxurious, big and technological rooms --Modern decor and new --Very nice & friendly staff Cons: -- Saw 2 live roaches in the breakfast buffet in just two visits, literally walking on and around the food. I also had one in my table, over the sugar packets. I could not feel at ease eating there after that. If they have roaches over the buffet I cannot imagine what the kitchen must be like. -- The ocean is not visible at all from the hotel. I chose this hotel for uts location on a cliff to be able to see the ocean at least. But it feels like as if being in the middle of a forest. -- The beach is about a 15 min VERY STEEP, And VERY UNSAFE climb, and it is outside of the hotel compunds. No hand rails on most parts of it and very steep steps. It is not apt for seniors or persons with knee/hip surgeries. --- NO beach equipment whatsoever down at the beach, so you are on your own and on a very tiny beach area with no people around. In other words, not a veach to lounge. -- Breakfast was not good in my opinion. It seemed large at first but later found that it was more quantity than quality. Most hot dishes were not good, or too stale or too spicy. I could not find mych that I liked.

Lots of monkeys at the property!! Felt quite safe. Just have to becareful with food laying around the monkeys will come snatch you!! Hotel staff usually helps looking after you. I get to witness a monkey stealing the lobby cookie jar!! It was hilarious!! The monkeys don’t bother me, entertainment and drama everyday :)

Long story short when we first arrived in Uluwatu we checked into an awful hotel where we checked out within the hour. We booked Raddison Blu straight away, and within the next hour we were there. It was late at night and the staff were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us, especially after finding out about the terrible day we had. The hotel is beautiful, the food was amazing and every staff member went above and beyond. The rooms are excellent, the room we had was big, immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. I personally love the monkey’s around the site but they are mischievous so be aware (much like everywhere else) The staff do keep an eye on them and will get them to move away. I got a lovely video of them playing in the pond by reception :) overall i would highly recommend this hotel and i hope to come back one day. Thank you to everyone at Raddison for making sure we had a great stay!

Overall, a pleasant stay with a lovely morning walk to Impossible Beach and a delicious breakfast. The only downside was the spa, where the air conditioning was uncomfortably cold. Aside from that, everything else was great.
