The hotel is in a perfect location. It’s a little outdated and small. But the people, the views and the food is what make it wonderful!

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and we spent two night here. The hotel is wonderful, the people very nice and helpful and the town is a great place to have base to then go on to explore the rest of the region.

Hotel and staff were excellent, parking under the Hotel. Everything in town was walkable, sone very nice some completely rude to us being American. Would not let that reflect at all on the hotel or location, we had a deck with a beautiful view of town and the small marina.

The front desk staff was very attentive to our every need. The room was comfortable and luxurious sheets. The best restaurant in Porto Venere is in Grand Hotel ..... no need to go anywhere! We loved our stay and would return.

World Class Hotel

Portovenere was a pleasant surprise from start to finish. The city is charming, but we wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if we hadn't stayed at the Grand Hotel Portovenere. The hotel is magnificent, the breakfast is great, the bar-restaurant is delicious and has great views. But the best thing was the kindness of its people: at reception, in the restaurant, the luggage service and cleaning staff. All outstanding. We immensely enjoyed the Beach Club affiliated with the hotel and the yacht with which we went for a ride during the sunset. Congratulations sincerely for having a world class hotel. This hotel was excellent for many reasons. The staff made sure that we got everything we needed. Food was excellent and restaurant staff was very attentive. The area is convenient for walking to restaurants, shops , and sights. Also, you can take the ferry to Cinque Terre across from the hotel.
