Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive offers 1402 accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature minibars and a safe. Rooms open to balconies. Absolutely the worse vacation I’ve been on and I go on about 3-4 every year. The property itself has a lot to offer, bowling, escape room, laser tag, amazing shows, water park however the property was overwhelmed with kids and young wild adults. Ghetto people, pools were dirty, buffet food was the same every day and night, kitchen staff making the omelets in the morning were horrible, one chef lady named Luisa actually stopped while making omelets and said it’s too much work for her said she couldn’t do it anymore but continued again after a few minutes with a attitude. Waited 40 mins for her to make an omelet that she slopped around the grill. We didn’t get a chance to eat at any of the restaurants because the guy that was suppose to make our reservations never did. The beach was loaded with seaweed as well as the water so there was no access to it at all. My 10 year old wanted to go home the minutes we stepped foot in the pool area, way too crowded and noisey. The pool was full with sand, I could go on. Worst vacation my family and I have ever been on.

The rooms are old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Housekeeping clearly cannot keep up. The staff were unprofessional and rude, especially if you don’t speak Spanish. Even when tipping, their attitude didn’t improve—it honestly felt like they were either overworked or just hated their jobs, but it showed in the way guests were treated. Restaurant reservations are a joke—be prepared to wait nearly two hours just to be served. The buffet offers the same food day after day, and it is not fresh. The restaurant food is decent, but again, only if you are willing to wait two hours after ordering. The only consistently fresh option we found was at the Sport Bar. Another warning: all beach towels should be tan. If they give you a white towel, refuse it. They will not take it back and will charge you $25 for what they claim is the “wrong towel.” The only positive was the outside common areas—they were clean and well taken care of. Unfortunately, that’s where the Save yourself the disappointment and book elsewhere. Pros: Clean outdoor areas, Sport Bar food was fresh. Cons: Dirty outdated rooms, rude staff, long waits for dining, repetitive/buffet food, towel scam.

The beach was closed due to extreme seaweed, which put more pressure on the pool. It wasn't their fault but it severely altered our plans. It's so huge and spread out that our room was about 2 blocks from activities, bars & restaurants. There were only 4 hobi cats for 1402 units, no sunfish and no snorkel gear. Even if beach had been open, couldn't really do most of what they advertise.

The resort is nice, has a lot of things to do, most of the staff are friendly. I would come back for sure. I had a good time there. I only would recommend to add air conditioning inside the elevators, it feels hot when you go inside 😁

The resort had a lot of food options, with that said the food was mediocre at best. The staff were probably the worst part of the resort. Very rude to foreigners and slow service. They would look at you when you need service and not do it with pleasure.

It was a huge resort and we loved our room (we barely were in our room because there was so much to do) the service was okay and the food wasn’t great but I would still go back just because of the resort itself !
