The rooms were clean and nice. All of the staff was very friendly and nice. The main thing that we did not like was that from check in to check out, we were hounded to buy in to the program or buy their products. When we said no, I feel like we were just dropped. They were not helpful with our requests as soon as we said no.

The property is huge but the rooms were not well taken care of, the railing on the stairs wasn’t bolted in and my son almost smashed his head if it wasn’t for my husband being next to him and catching him it could’ve been terrible. My daughter opened a closet door and the wood from the overhead cabinet fell on her. The property is on a system and they try and sell you a membership similar to timeshare for a ridiculous amount, not what I expected for a hotel with such a profound name behind it

Room were clean, some staff wasn’t that good they only served white or from other country also the club was closed and you have to pay for other activities, I paid extra money because expidia but my son and daughter as a child.

First I have to say that the Dominican People are wonderful and full of joy. Punta Cana is beautiful. However Hard Rock Resort Punta Cana is not up to 5 stars. There is absolutely no training and leadership with the staff. The problem begins when I made a reservation for a Caribbean Sand room that is supposed to have a garden view...that not happened...our room was 8221 in the 8A building (witch is the farthest from the main lobby and all the conveniences) the view is to a service road and the wall of a neighbor lot - terrible. Since the first day there was no chairs available at the pool and beach at 8:00 am. The Ipanema restaurant at breakfast has long lines and no reposition of food. Since the resort is enormous, the transportation need to be by trolleys and there is not enough trolleys - sometimes we waited for 20 plus minutes to go to and from the room. Not enough golf carts available to rent. We tried to talk no manager in the first day, but front desk said there was no manager on duty...took our phone number and no return was given. In our fifth day my daughter was sun sick and i tried to cancel the balinese pool bed for the sixth day and the vacation planning staff said we needed to go thru a doctor appointment (paid) to get a certificate for the cancelation - a joke. When I tried to talk to manager (again) there was none available (again). On the sixth day we went on a tour at 7:00 am and returned at 6:30 pm and the room was not cleaned up. Hard Rock never again

You have to be up by 6:30am to get chairs by a pool. Toro and Zen restaurants are excellent but are by reservation only. Highly recommend reservations ahead of trip for these and cabana by pool or beach.
