The service was outstanding! The hotel is very clean but dated. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Hotel is a need of a refresh. Our mirrors were rusted, wallpaper peeling and paint was all scuffed. If you can look past that, it had a nice view and a 10 minute walk the a great lobster market and eatery.

When staying here for 2 nights in September 2025, I was very satisfied. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. I then left for an overseas trip and had scheduled to stay at Bay Landing again on the way back for one night. The second stay was not so pleasant. Was given a room, that looked very tired. Faucet in bathtub was loose, air conditioning unit had a little fabric blowing in the breeze. Refrigerator had no freezing compartment, when asked, the front desk person would not freeze the freezer pack. This has been done in the past with other accommodations without a problem, both stateside and overseas. So, my suggestion is that Bayside either change their policy for diabetics, or find another hotel more accommodating.

Although the Bay Landing San Francisco Hotel may feel outdated to some, it is well maintained and absolutely worth a stay. The rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean and smelled fresh, the staff were kind and welcoming, and parking is free. A pleasant walking trail is located just behind the hotel. The breakfast features standard options, though it appears that meat is not served on weekdays. However, the breakfast potatoes more than made up for it, they were very flavorful! One suggestion, consider posting the airport shuttle schedule at the reception desk so guests can better plan their transportation.

The hotel was nicely updated and the ocean view around the property was fantastic! The staff was sufficiently helpful. There are many nice restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel room did not have enough electrical outlets and at least one of them was so loose that it could not support the cord.

Hotel room was spacious, good view, clean, but showing its age. Breakfast was included and great. Shuttle service was timely and helpful. Housekeeping was provided only on request and only in am. King sheets didn’t fit well. AC didn’t work well, was fixed promptly on request. One night clerk responded to rude guests with escalating rudeness, two separate occasions and didn’t follow up with requests.

Great location near trails and the bay. Older hotel compared to others in the area but comfortable, clean and in great shape. Bed and linens were great. Good water pressure. Easy parking lot close to entryways. Free breakfast laughable but plenty of choices in area.
