The house is cute & comfortable. There were plenty of supplies throughout; we had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing this great home, we would love to visit again.
I stayed here with my husband and 3 sons. My older sons are really big football players and we were all so comfortable here! They loved hanging out in the game room upstairs and we had a great time watching movies together downstairs in the evening. It was great having so many bathrooms, we never had to fight over showers. The kitchen was really well stocked and I loved sitting outside drinking coffee in the morning. It was so peaceful! I loved how the backyard is so beautifully landscaped. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. We enjoyed taking walks around the area. The neighbors were very friendly. My family was actually so sad to leave and they are already planning when we can come back. We were able to easily get to South Haven and even took a little day trip to Holland. I really appreciated the beach towels, camping chairs, and beach umbrella for our beach days. I was a little confused on how to access the private beach but management was very responsive. I used the washer and dryer several times and that was highly convenient. I made blueberry scones with products from The Blueberry Store in South Haven and had such an idyllic morning here, absolutely loved it! This is a beautiful home for a family vacation.
I expected better. I have rented houses all over the world for many years and I can forgive a lot if the beds are comfortableâŠ..the master bedroom bed was comfortable however, the other two mattresses were unacceptable especially the one on the first floor that had an old spring mattressâŠ. I kid you not. For the amount that I paid per night I expected a comfortable mattress to sleep on in every room. This was very uncomfortable for my guests. In addition the coffee pot malfunctioned on the last two days of our trip and the air conditioner unit did not reach the second floor. Over the Fourth of July 2025 temperatures outside reached near 90 degrees and this was very uncomfortable at night. In addition this property seemed very wornâŠ.. and the bedding was tooâŠ..I say skip this one.
We loved everything about this property. 1st time rental with Jaqua Vacation Rentals and will never look outside of Jaqua for our next trips. The house was perfect for our immediate family. Everyone had they own "full" bathroom. Went home with no dirty laundry. Firepit and hot tub outside was wonderful. Private beach- OUTSTANDING!! Close to downtown and anything else we needed while we were there for the week.
Happy Landings was the perfect location for our annual girls trip. The house was very clean and just right for the 6 of us. It was just as pictured. Location to South Haven and several wineries was within a short drive. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
It was a great family vacation getaway. We spent time at both the private beach and took a short drive to North Shore Beach. We enjoyed our time walking at the harbor near downtown and taking in some of the sites and picking up a few souvenirs. The community where the beach house was located was ideal. We had a great time using the amenities of the home, including the And the outdoor grill. Walk to the private beach was really convenient. We were also able to get in a little bit of golf. The other neighbors were all very friendly. We look forward to visiting again.
Good spot. Location is farther from Lake MI. The private beach access is much smaller than anticipated. Only 2 TVâs and no cable. Kitchen well stocked with equipment and utensils. Clean and modern decor.
I stayed at this property with 6 adults and two toddlers. It was clean and well equipped. There were ample kitchen supplies for us to make our meals for 4 days; beach towels; extra paper products; etc. We also enjoyed the firepit and hot tub on the property.
Getting to the beach was a bit of an adventure because we weren't sure where to go - but if you take the cross street right in front of the house down two stop signs and make a left that road will take you right to the trams.
We also were about a 10 minute drive from so many options - downtown, a blueberry farm, golf course, brewery, wineries. Something for everyone in our group to enjoy!
Would highly recommend!
Really enjoyed this stay and being so close to a private beach. I would recommend better instructions for how to access the beach and have an additional tram key! There was some construction going on down the road, that made beach access a little confusing. Great communication throughout our stay & the house was the perfect layout for our family group. It was great that there were 3 bathrooms and laundry! Close enough to South Haven shopping and eating as well as just a 15 minute drive to Saugatuck.
The house was clean and had all the immenities described. We used the grill twice and the hot tub twice for great outdoor unwinding. We were pleased as the parking area allowed for our 3 medium SUVs. Lots of cleaning, laundry and bathroom supplies available. We didnt use the common room upstairs but would be great for teens to watch tv and game. Plenty of hot water for our 6 adults taking showers and multiple dish washing cycles. AC worked well too.
Due to us having a 6 month old with us, we opted for the public beach near town instead of the tram and property beach.
Location was 10 minutes from everywhere we needed to go; beach, downtown shopping, marina, dozens of restaurants, Meijer, etc...
Great communication with property owner as well. I would recommend this property for your landing spot during your stay in South Haven!
The only reason why we booked this property was because we we re convinced that it had an outdoor hot tub. When searching for this property hot tub was a requirement that was selected, they even charged us for Hot Tub fee. appon arrival we were told that hot tub is closed and not available for use, they agreed to refund $200.00 that was was listed us Hot Tub fee and told me sorry... Trip was ponitless as that was the only reason why it was booked... Host refused to refund more funds.
House is also poorly maintained, smoke detector batteries were low and making noises preventing people from sleeping at night. Garage was dirty and unswept.
I would stay away ... there are much better options in that area.
Excellent! In between So Ha and Saugatuck tucked in a dirt road one block from Lakw Mi. This home was ideal for a girls weekend w 3 bdrms and 3 full baths. The only glitch was getting the correct door code. We enjoyed the quiet setting, the beach, the tram was unique (recommend having 2 tram keys instead of one at the property) easy drive to South Haven and Saugatuck/ Douglas for shopping, dining and strolling. We would recommend having napkins and Keenex but otherwise a delightful Vacation rental w many extras like a fire pit and hot tub.
We loved this place! Itâs a .25 mile to the gorgeous bluff to catch the sunset or rise. The tram and stair access made it special. Itâs a short drive from downtown so easy access to everything. The space and rooms were great with comfy beds. Plus the hot tub and fire pit! You canât go wrong staying here.
Very nice and clean home at a convenient location. We were 7 including a toddler sleeping in a pack and play. Cannot imagine how this property could house 10 people comfortably.
Would definitely come back, with a smaller group next time.
Overall, it was a nice property. Very clean and well stocked. I agree with others that have stayed here, the pictures are misleading. It is not waterfront. The backyard is very small and there wasnât much room for our kids to run or play. The houses are also very close together.
Beautiful area! The location was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The inside of the property was great but the outside could use a little more attention.
We had a lovely stay and would happily come again. Like another reviewer said, we expected the tram to be very close to the home, however it was about a half mile maybe away. I feel like the pictures were a little misleading. Also due to rising waters and erosion the beach area (that you use the tram to explore) is a little disappointing. During our visit only one tram was operational and the stairs were under construction. You also could not really walk along the beach there due to the high water. That said, the house is really cutely decorated and cozy. The hot tub was amazing and clean and clearly well-maintained. We really appreciated the supplies that you can use at the beach, like the wagon the sport shade umbrella,
We very much enjoyed our stay at Happy Landings. What a pretty and well-appointed house. The wooded location, complete with hot tub and fire pit, away from the bustle of South Haven was a welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing and at the beach. There were all the comforts of home and lots of space. The property management company was very responsive to our questions and needs and couldn't have been nicer or easier to work with.
