We enjoyed our stay at Shephard's. The live entertainment every night was enjoyable, although, you will easily hear it from your hotel room so take note if you are looking for a quiet place to stay. The pool and beach were relaxing and both restaurant's on the property had good food.

All around beautiful resort. Nice rooms, friendly staff, small but nice beach area, convenient to various dining options. The only drawback is you have to rent chairs and umbrellas from the service contracted by the resort. Highly recommended. Would stay here again. One other thing. This resort is big into music. During the day and night. Nightly,bands play till midnight and it gets loud, which didn’t bother us,but if loud music does, something to keep in mind.

I’m a local who did a staycation for my 30th birthday party! Everything was amazing from when Regina checked us in, to Isunbathing at the pool and dancing the night away at the nightclub and outdoor tiki bar dance floor. The vibes, drinks and ambience are 10/10. In the rooms, we had a nice view in the gulf tower and the beds were extremely comfortable. Valet service was fast and friendly! We will be back again in the future! Nowhere with better entertainment options

You had to pay for the beach chairs and if you were not at the pool chairs for 30 minutes because you were waiting in the ocean they move your things and give your chairs to somebody else. There's just not enough seating and space for all of the guests that they're trying to accomodate!

We had such a great time. The pool was beautiful. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The resort was close to other restaurants that we could easily walk to. And the entertainment at Shephard's is top notch. We'll definitely be back.

The property was great however I did not like that they let people from outside the hotel on the beach. Becomes very crowded you have to pay for chairs and after 1 it’s hard to get a spot on the beach

Spring break flashbacks

We stayed from Saturday to Saturday. Checking in Saturday afternoon I had flashbacks to college spring break and it continued into the early morning hours as the club bass was vibrating through the room. Things settled down after that and we were able to run the AC more for white noise and believe the club was only Saturday night. Restaurant was good, pool was nice, beach was full of shells and didn’t connect to the main Clearwater beach. Jet ski rentals on site were great and we saw dolphins while out on them. Friday night they required wristbands to access the beach area. Not sure what nights this happens but again seems like a college spring break thing and not necessary for families. For a family of four, it was generally a nice time.

FANTASTIC RESORT!!! The rooms are spacious, clean , nice balconies over looking the pool, bay, and the Guif. The staff is super friendly, great maid service. There are pool side and beach side bars. David is amazing on the beach taking care of everyone’s drinks and food. There is a beachside restaurant which is excellent. There are great daily and nightly bands that play which makes this resort unique. There is also a nightclub. The beach is great … the Bay Area is nice and calm for wading or swimming in. The resort has all you need but if venturing out, it is close to shopping and restaurants. Another big plus for me was the free valet parking. Highly recommend this resort. I’ll definitely be back.

Shephard's met all of our expectations. Parking was convenient. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a great view. We were there over a weekend and we were not affected by the live music or nightclub noise that others have mentioned. Plenty of beach chairs to reserve and water activities to do. The staff were all very polite, attentive, and courteous.

Very clean place. Well kept inside and out. Staff was very friendly and interacted with our kids as well. Beautiful balcony views. Huge pool area with three bars. The food was excellent as well. My kids order food to go when we checked out to take with them they loved it so much. Live music at night was nice. We were able to pull up and valet the car as soon as we got there free of charge. They even checked our luggage so the kids can use the pool right away while we waited for our room. 5/5 we will definitely be staying here again. My favorite so far.
