The hotel is beautiful. The hospitality and staff were beyond my expectations. It was remarkable how welcome they make you feel. Why I giving only 4 star. The breakfast voucher system didn't work well for us and our child. I did get confused a couple time when I bring them and they give me different answers to how to provide them. The room was beautiful, but definitely small. The rooms were a bit dated but kept up to amazing standards. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

This hotel was both elegant and warm and welcoming. The rooms were pristine and comfortable. One note, while there is a pool, it’s more for swimming laps/exercising. Swim caps are required and quiet voices (not ideal for kids).

Tokyo Imperial Hotel first luxury hotel established in the 1890s, the current building is the third generation and is beginning to show its where. There is a master plan in progress to redo the entire hotel. Meanwhile, service continues to be excellent, the variety of restaurants exceptional, and location the best in Tokyo. This was my second stay at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo and I will gladly return. One of my best mesls ever was at Les Saisons, Michelin starred restaurant on the mezzanine. Thank you Imperial Hotel Tokyo.

This is not a great hotel

I told them I was sensitive to noise so they gave me a room next to the train tracks. We asked them to help us heat up food… no help. Bowing and white gloves aside, from a customer service perspective they’re not great. I doubt they understand this though. In any case, I wouldn’t stay here again, especially considering how old and shabby the rooms actually are…

This is a classic Hotel, great location and great service. The Hotel is pricey and the Hotel restaurants expensive. The breakfast option was well worth it though!

I had high expectations for this hotel! My husband has stayed here 30 years ago and speaks highly of the services! The check-in process was very smooth and we were taken to our room by very friendly staff. However our room was very far from the elevator’ I wonder if it’s because we booked it through Hoel.com instead of directly with the hotel. Also there were no bathrobes! We had to wait for twenty minutes for the famous breakfast buffet on the 17th floor. We had to wait a long time for our second cup of coffee! There doesn’t seem to be enough servers.

My room was overlooking Tokyo station so a little loud listening to train traffic but super convenient
