Terrible bed/pillows. Poor lighting. No shades on

Great location and lovely views from the balcony. HOWEVER, since it’s located right near the ferry terminal (which is convenient), it’s also noisy with ferry traffic constantly. Also, we were there during the “Centenario celebration” of Moto Guzzi motorbikes so there were motorcycles revving on/off the ferry and on the streets NON-STOP during our 3-day stay. I realize this event has nothing to do with the apt in a way, but it did disrupt our stay. Property was well kept from the exterior and seemed neatly renovated from the inside. We did enjoy the lovely balcony and view, but there were many negatives also. First, the main living room had beautiful sunshine streaming through the windows. pretty for light BUT there were NO window shades/blinds/curtains to clise and keep the apt cool. Not to mention, allow for privacy! This is unacceptable especially considering there is no AC and it was extremely hot during our stay. How difficult is it to put blinds/window coverings on those sliding glass doors which lead out to the balcony? Not impressed. The balcony was lovely and we could enjoy sitting out there in the morning/at night. However, during the day, it was so hot and there were no shades or blinds to use to block the direct sunlight. There were tracks on the balcony which seemed to appear there used to be blinds there but that no longer exists. We did find a sun umbrella in the apt to use on the balcony but when we put it up, it was totally ripped apart so was also

Very nice property, with a kitchen, living room, patio, separate bedroom, bathroom, & washing machine. Beautiful view from patio of the lake. Separate spacious outdoor space where you can sit in shade. Only complaint was how hot it could get. I was provided w/ 2 fans which helped. Also, with open windows and front door a nice breeze comes through. Overall, nice property, very close to ferry and train station.

Could be 5 star...

I was very impressed by the positive comments expressed by previous guests at Cassa del Tiglio, but our own experience didn't quite live up to expectations. The location is great, the flat is roomy enough. But in the summer months in needs air conditioning. I didn't check this (I mistakenly took it as a given) but in the warm weather it was very difficult to sleep. The fixtures could also do with a bit of an update, especially the lighting - it was very dim at night. It has the potential, and at the price it should deliver, but needs a bit of tlc.
