The rooms were new, well finished and decorated. The hotel decor overall was stunning, finished to high standards in a modern design. However, this hotel really fell in terms of service. When we arrived, no one greeted us at the cab or even helped us unload our suitcases. We don't normally mind, but when you opt for a 5* hotel, you expect the 5* standards of service. Check in was quick, but no induction provided whatsoever. Which meant we had to find out ourselves about the amenities that were available in the hotel. We asked for the sofa bed in the room to be set up but this was not done so. We asked several times until a final phone call was made at 10.30pm asking for them to come and do it ASAP as we had been waiting and had 2 children who were waiting to sleep. Breakfast was mediocre, not many options and it was the same thing everyday. It was served to you by very disgruntled employees. You weren't seated at your table, but expected to find one and seat yourself, which is fine but then no one served us or asked us what drinks we would like for at least another 20 minutes. By the time we came back with our breakfast, a few occasions when we had breakfast without the kids, our tables were then taken by others as there was no way to distinguish which table was available or not. Rooms weren't cleaned to the standards we are used to, they just made beds and changed towels if we asked. The room wasn't hoovered or tidied otherwise. It's such a shame and a let down for Hilton.
