This home is beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped for families. The downstairs is ideal for parents, kids, and even their friends, thanks to a spacious bunk room that comfortably sleeps six. Upstairs, a cozy bedroom with a private en suite makes a great retreat for in-laws or another couple if you're sharing the space. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views and a wide beach that offers plenty of spots beyond the sand to relax and take it all in. Everything about our stay was perfect—we’ll definitely be back!

Location and privacy can’t be beat

Amazing private beach with all the amenities needed to enjoy swimming and water sports. Clean and comfortable house with a fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook and lots of outdoor space to enjoy dinner and drinks outside. Some frustrations dealing with a property management company - I wish they would assign a trip specialist that we could reach out to rather than contacting a different person each time but overall a great property and experience. Will be back!

This was just whst we needed.

The house had the most beautiful views. It was very clean and we were supplied with everything we needed. The beach area was perfect. We had paddle boards, floats, and chairs provided. We just had to bring the fun. I"d return in a heartbeat.

Just what we were looking for!

We wanted a house on the beach where we could bring our dog. We hoped for privacy, access to the water, a great view for sunsets, and a home base where we would enjoy having coffee in the morning and cooking dinner at night. We got all of this! Along with an easy drive to South Haven, a fire pit in the yard, and multiple spots to relax and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend! *Note that the house water has a strong sulphur smell—nothing wrong with it, just strong if you are sensitive to smells, so it surprised us. We did love our stay here! Thank you for sharing this slice of beautiful beach and lake!

Wonderful!

Our second time staying at Jacobia. Very clean and plenty of supplies. Love that it is dog friendly and we had plenty firewood which we appreciate very much. It’s easy getting down to beach, has low bluff. There are excellent places to sit with great views. Few negatives were host/property manager I contacted about how much firewood told me I would have to pay $8 a bundle, but there was plenty not bundled. Also asked if coffee maker was a kuerig or drip, and was told kuerig, but it was a drip. Not the end of the world but bought k-cups to bring on trip. Host should know details of the property before answering incorrectly. Also the couch is extremely old and broken down.

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful house with great views. House exactly as described. Lots of outdoor space and only a short walk to the beach. This house had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. Hope to visit again soon!

Wonderful!!!

Our stay at Jacobia was awesome! Terrible weather, but take what you get. The views are outstanding, very clean house. Lovely and numerous areas to sit outside. Steps to beach very duable. Steps inside were a bit much since main living area is up. If you are older/senior age you might want to take that into account. We also have older dog and he would not climb the stairs. My only true complaint is coffee maker was not working very well and cheap. We found a Keurig and it was basically broken. So that was a disappointment. Overall still give 5 stars and would come back!!!

Lovely Stay!

We loved this rental steps away from Lake Michigan. Clean accommodations and had everything provided for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the Jacobia Blend Kayak coffee that was provided and our dog Mayday enjoyed his care package as well! Ideally located between South Haven and St. Joe/Benton Harbor so it's easy to enjoy all the area has to offer - or stay at Jacobia and watch the incredible sunsets or enjoy long walks on the beach.

Beautiful Lakefront Getaway

The lake house was beautiful itself and had amazing views of the lake from all the porches and even the couch inside. Having our own private beach was surreal and so peaceful, we enjoyed using the grill, going swimming in the lake, beach walks, and having bonfires at night. So romantic and the history of the house and family was very neat!

Great location BUT

I will start off by saying I was grateful to find this property. I was looking last minute for a place for a small trip for my kiddos and I. I have loved all my trips through Vrbo & even used them when they were homeaway. This trip was different. Typically I’ve gone through owners individually with the exception of a couple of stays in condos. This property is owned by vacasa. I had a difficult time contacting them. Long story short- I booked the property. I never received check in instructions. I called and was on hold for almost an hour before I got ahold of someone & they made be aware that they needed to do identity verification. This was fine. It was a slight inconvenience having to stay on hold so long just to get this info as I am a nurse & was working long hours before my trip. Fast forward to getting to the place. This property itself is so cute & the beach is nearly out your back door. I couldn’t haven’t asked for a better location. The sheets on one of the bunk beds did have some dog hairs & crumbs. I felt the standard of cleanliness for the sheets could have been better. The most annoying part was the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi never worked the whole time we were there. The screen kept saying they needed to activate the internet through Xfinity with their info which we would not have of course. All of my devices stated this. Now remember, trying to get ahold of vacasa whether it’s on the phone or message is a bit difficult. I called & the woman I spoke with said she would let someone be aware. I also messaged on the Vrbo app- &that is absolutely a waste of time. I finally received a message a long time later asking about having maintenance out. To which I never received another reply. I messaged asking someone to call and never did receive another call or message. We were not here for the Wi-Fi but with two young kids & the signal being not so great by the lake- it was fairly important. It was a pretty big inconvenience. On top of that the lack of communication from vacasa makes this a- you’ll figure it out- type of situation. We did. & as I said the location is absolutely amazing. The beach was beautiful & secluded. I liked the multi level deck. The upstairs is super cute & the view made it worth it. All in all- the property is great. Especially it appears if you have or need accommodation for pets. However, dealing with a bigger company like vacasa does create a bit of a barrier when problems arise.
