It was close to the areas of the city that I wanted most to explore. The YOTEL Edinburgh is conveniently located within walking distance of many musuems and restaurants. Also, the room I had was very clean.

The staff was very kind and friendly, especially the night shift. But the room was not great. I had no cold water so was asked to go buy bottled water by one of the staff or keep walking up and down the stairs to get cold water from the bar, the tv kept having audio issues, the hairdryer stopped working and the bed was not very comfortable. Great location, but I unfortunately did not enjoy the room.

Very convenient location to the Minster, many restaurants, old town but on quiet street so easy to add sleep. Helpful staff and good recommendations in response to questions. Only small thing is it would be helpful to have a small shelf in both the bathroom and shower to hold items. Otherwise wonderful.

Very comfortable stay. The coffee and water in the lobby were nice touches. Bar in the lobby is actually really good! The front desk staff were very helpful. The property details say laundry is available, but it wasn't actual laundry facilities. Instead it was a very expensive laundry service. It would be helpful to make that more clear.

Liked the safe in room & the bed. Didn't like the room set up. Ony had 2 drawers. Very small closet. No privacy. No chair or table. No desk.. No pictures on the wall just white everything. No kettles in the room. No microwave. The shower leaked on the floor.

I would not recommend this hotel if you want a personal and quiet experience. YOTEL is centrally located in new town, which was very helpful. The rooms leave a bit to be desired. For my VIP Access stay I was shocked we had an interior looking room right above the hotel's bar. This was extremely unfortunately when the hotel hosted a wedding and we heard the DJ till at least 11:30PM. This was a wedding at a hotel, not a hotel at a wedding. The guests should not be subjected to the mercy of the wedding planning when this is a hotel first. Considering our window placement, the room was dark and the shower leaked a lot. The whole experience felt impersonal with staff. Check in and check out can be done on an iPad and when asked if they could mail postcards for me, they mentioned I go find a postbox.

Room was clean and comfortable and the bed was adjustable which was a great idea because after coming back to the room after all day walking, it was nice to just be able to lay down and watch TV for a while. However, I would suggest to have a shelf or small table in the room as well as having a couple more places to hang towels. I would definitely stay here again but be warned like everything in Europe this is expensive
