We stay here so we can walk to Amerant bank arena to watch a couple Florida Panther hockey games. We like to spend the day in the pool and hot tub and on days without games we Uber to restaurants we want to try but there are plenty within walking distance as well

We stay at Doubletree in Sunrise, FL every year and we always get a room with zero view. In fact, it’s of the gross rooftop. We stayed this past weekend for our wedding anniversary and had no view. For the price we paid of $315 which went up dramatically from last year, I could book another hotel with the same view and half the price in the same area. We like this hotel because of the convenience of what we do when we visit. When we checked out Sunday morning, we explained our concern to the lady at the front desk. She couldn’t have cared less. She told us to next time specify we don’t want a rooftop view. Sorry, but I shouldn’t have to specify that and told her that there wouldn’t be a next time. She basically said she was sorry to hear that.

The rooms need updating. Our room attendant did not clean the room while we were there. She would knock on our door 5:15-5:30 each day to do service while we were trying to shower and prepare for dinner. Overall it was evident the hotel is short on staff. Gigi at the front desk was very nice also the older gentleman who was in the restaurant was excellent. The Starbucks I. The lobby is lacking. Given room 719, which is right by the elevators. It was like a freight train was moving past the room everytime the elevator passed floor 7, which as you can imagine was all night long. Tried to phone reception at midnight, got no answer. Reported it in the morning, about how loud everything was (AC was loud too, as it kicked off and on) and she just shrugged and said nothing. Very disappointed; have since filled in the Hilton feedback form asking for a response, nothing received from it either
