My wife and I, celebrated her 40th birthday here, along with a few friends. The hotel itself was nice, and in a great location. The room was clean and updated. It was either a short walk or uber to get to bars and restaurants. The ocean was also right there. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The pools and outside bar were an absolute blast to hang around all day. The on site food options were delicious. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is the pool closed early, and things were a bit pricey.

First off I have to say the staff are wonderful and the hotel is very clean. I must also say that I normally stay at the loews but I wanted to try something new (the prices are not the same but very similar) as you walk in, you are greeted by an old yet classy hotel reminded me of the gatsby times, but then you realize everything is old. The elevators are super small, shake and rattle like a death trap, the walls are paper thin, you can hear everyones conversation on your floor. As for the pool, its beautiful but there is no hot tub, not a must for everybody but for the price of the resort I was quite disappointed, people are smoking everywhere, the bar inside and outside are tiny, any signs of wind, they automatically close the umbrellas even when its sunny outside. Like I said the staff were wonderful. The pool and beach chairs and an umbrella are included which is refreshing. But realistically I will not be coming back, sticking to the Loews. This hotel definitely needs updates with the prices they charge.

Six of us booked in at the National Hotel this weekend and had a wonderful time. Love the room my wife and I got on the 8th floor. The pools were great and the bars served good cocktails. The access to the beach makes this a good place to stay in South Beach.

My stay was 10/10 stars, absolutely loved the atmosphere and the staff. Everyone there went above & beyond to make my stay as welcoming & carefree as possible. Zouheir & KiKi specifically went the extra mile & made me feel very safe & welcomed during my week long stay!! I literally could not recommend this resort more & I will be back for another solo trip, absolutely adored this place.

Love the Hotels historic nature, staff was awesome, now here is the problem. We stayed in a poolside suite, The music from the speakers around the pool go late into the night and then in the AM they use a high pitched blower around the pool starting at 7:30 so if you want to sleep in on your holiday this is not your place
