The house is beautiful and connected to a great area of town. Trem is truly a historic part of NOLA and adjacent to the french quarter. The main room could use a little TLC- large sectional needs a good deep cleaning, and the bathrooms had difficulty with hot water (in the main living room and the knobs were hard to use). The stove is also a ignition lit which is a bit tricky if you want to use the oven. Also would recommend a bit better stocking of the kitchen with pots and pans for cooking- we ended up buying a set from costco to cook. The backyard and pool area were exeptional! The small ADU units were well kept and so nice for privacy. The master was beautiful. The dining room was perfect for a large dinner. The hosts were responsive for any needs we had during the trip.
The host was excellent in helping with the problems that arrived. That being said, when we arrived we noticed that 2 honeless people are living in a broken down car with the windows smashed out within 50 feet of the house. There were also 2 other people fighting on the sidewalk. Once inside the property, we found everything looked very nice. The pictures were accurate on the inside and pool area. The water heater stopped working on the second day, the host got someone out there within 6 hours and they got it back working. The weather wad very cold and the heat only seemed to work in part of the house but both cottages had great heat. The only other comment is that our party was older people and they are no accesable handles in bathrooms for toilet or shower/tubs.
