Good for last minute stays, but needs improvements
Considering its gimmick is a haunted hotel I canât really complain about its look but it is a bit of an uneasy establishment. The room I got had crappy service and WiFi (not blaming the hotel for that since the area isnât near many service towers), and the bed felt a little dirty with tiny spots of stains. The tv only had so many channels available, and the bathroom was pretty dirty so I felt uncomfortable showering there. The hotel worked for the price range and convenience for me since I was only in town for a wedding.
Franklin hotel is a unique property. In short, it is a historic hotel property that is still in service and useful. As a guest, my check-in process was quick and convenient. The lobby entrance and guest room hallways feel like an antique store filled with interesting things to look at, but could really use a good deep clean and someone to de-clutter. My guest room was small, but quiet and felt safe. Bed was comfortable. Linens were clean but well used. Towels were clean. For the price point, Franklin is a reasonable value. I would stay there again. Before booking, itâs important to consider youâre staying at a very old property that seems to be operated by a family. Theyâre keeping an old small town hotel alive, and with a little time and some attention it could be a much improved place.
It was freezing especially in the restaurant and hallways. Pillow smelled like dirty hair. Had personal accounts on the tv. Service in restaurant was slow need more help. I think potato was microwaved
