A Balanced Venetian Experience

Pros: Facitilies;Location
Cons: Price of food/drink
Location: Accesible to Venice; 30 min water taxi from airport
Staying in San Celemente enables you to escape the hustle and bustle of Venice. A 10 minute free water shuttle to San Marco twice every hour provides an accessible and fun way to approach the city. The pier is optimally placed for exploring this wonderfully beautiful location. The hotel is peaceful and refined. Grounds are well maintained. Staff are welcoming and professional. Swimming pool area provides plenty of seating and a dip in the refreshing pool late afternoon provides an excellent end to a day of walking the tight streets of Venice. Tennis court is OK and gym looked good. Idyllic locations are present to have a drink or a meal on the island whilst you marvel at the city across the water.. I would happily return in the future. One criticism would be is the price of soft drinks; in particular water. Whilst I understand a 5 star hotel makes considerable mark-up on food, drink and service, I do object to being charged 8 euros for a small bottle of still water. Perhaps the hotel could make concessions in the future and lower the cost to something more affordable for a life necessity?

The staff were incredibly polite all around the hotel , always saying hello. The service at breakfast was poor unfortunately. There didn’t seem to be enough staff so the requests fir tea and cofffee etc took a long time. The actual food selection was good.

Pricey but fabulous

We loved our stay at San Clemente - we had a room upgrade on arrival which is always welcome. We were there on honeymoon and it felt very special - not somewhere we could afford regularly but as a special treat it was worth every penny.

Venice Trip

Beautiful location, very peaceful. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Regular, lovely clean boats into Venice. Amazing pool and surrounding gardens and area. The 7 course meal was amazing.

1er séjour à Venise

Rien à dire sur l'emplacement : calme et sérénité bercent l'hôtel; la suite nous a un peu déçus. Froide, impersonnelle, plafonds très ( trop) hauts; lourdes tentures aux fenêtres elles aussi trop hautes, laissant juste voir les marronniers tristes d'une cour intérieure ! Par contre, personnel très attentif et efficace, tant à la réception qu'à la conciergerie. Petit déjeuner continental décevant pour un palace: 10 mn d'attente pour un thé et un café ! Peu de choix et viennoiseries rassies !!!

Great Place and location but EXPENSIVE !!!

The Hotel generally very nice and the location is also ideal in so far that it is away from the hustle, bustle and smell of Venice but close enough for a short boat trip there. The hotel provides free boats to Venice which are pretty good. In general the amenities are pretty pleasing. Although the spa could to with a bit of a renovation and the gym is very small, the hotel is grand and our room had a high ceiling and was adequately furnishes (a bit small though). Sadly WiFi was completely inadequate and only available in very limited areas What I did not like about the hotel where the extortionate prices. As they know you are a captive audience on te island they somehow think that €12 for a fried egg or €27 for a club sandwich is acceptable. I spent €42 on tow cocktails. Furthermore I wanted to iron a short and was told that "there was a rule against irons in rooms" which in my view was unacceptable. In short, nice hotel but only go if you don't mid forking out....

SUPER PALACE

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans un endroit magnifique. Nous pensons que le site est encore plus beau au printemps ou en été. Et VENISE, quel ville magnifique où il est fait bon flâner et se laisser aller à la rêverie.
