There are one or two hotels at the entrance of Bryce Canyon national park. The location is so great that even this hotel with this outdated facility can cost over $200 per night. The room smelled bad, like old dogs or mildew? For one night, I am ok but for multiple nights, I would stay at the other more expensive hotel. Extremely limited options for dining around here; the hotel restaurant or pizza restaurant next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant was super crowded and the other offered pizza and some chicken rice bowls. The restaurants close early even in the summer. So, be aware if you are hiking in late afternoon. Also, don’t unload your luggages at check in, you will need to drive to another building for locating your room.

Overpriced Compound

I made the mistake of booking this property in January for a summer trip and paid over twice as much as if I would have booked in the summer. This property has several buildings and we were placed in the one the furthest away from the lobby/pool. There is only 1 pool for a property this large and it was naturally overcrowded. The food in the buffet was very basic and overpriced. The rooms were pretty small, which would not have been a problem if there was a nearby lobby that we could enjoy. Most times we went to the lobby it was also crowded. This hotel was conveniently located near Bryce, however I would book at a smaller hotel a little further away if we ever go back to the area.

This is a big property but close to Bryce Canyon. You can take the shuttle or drive easily to places of interest. There is a buffet restaurant and grocery store on site. There are also laundry facilities. It’s rustic so don’t expect the Ritz. Staff was great, room was spacious and clean. Nothing to complain about. I thought it was surprisingly perfect.

Convenient to the park but since the entire area is owned by one company, there isn’t much choice. The rooms needed some updating. Bed was quite “bouncy” and not very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Great location, food, historic value, they even offer a LDS sacrament meeting on property, if that’s your thing. Everything is convenient and staff is helpful. But the rooms do need renovations. Old dark colors that make it seem the room is not clean even if it is. Our biggest turn off was having the upstairs shower leak into ours. I hope they renovate the rooms soon and get new soft towels. Other than that, it was good. Oh, the indoor pool is nice but can far if your room is not in the same building.

The facilities are kind old and should be updated accordingly. Overall a nice hotel if you plan to have everything in it and don’t want to go anywhere else.
