We had a great time visiting NOLA. The house was spacious, large kitchen counter and the rooms were comfortable. Comfortable beds and bathrooms were also a nice size. Needed some minor items like spoons, blender, ice maker was somewhat faulty, mixing/serving bowls, cooking pan to make a lasagna, missing batteries in the tv remotes, not enough toilet paper for the adults staying, soiled pad/diaper left behind by a previous guest, not sure. Some ants got into the bread and there were some large roaches in the living room area. Property needs some TLC.
The house was beautiful, only 3 blocks to catch the trolley.Conveniently located, quiet. If we make it back to Nola this will be our first choice to stay.
The pictures of the unit are as pretty much as advertised. The ceilings and the decorations are gorgeous. However, there are several spots in the living room along the wall that need to be touched up and the record player/radio does not work (there are no needles for the record player). While the unit was fairly clean - the light colored towels that were provided were dirty/dingy. We ended up buying a set of towels at Walmart. Additionally, there was an army of ants in the kitchen which required us to throw several snacks away. They literally were everywhere! The kitchen was clean otherwise, but the army of ants made it impossible to want to cook in the kitchen. Luckily, it was not in our plans to cook many meals there during our short stay. There were also water bugs in both bathrooms. The outside area does not match the pictures. The hanging cover was torn and not attached. The deck and the furniture outside is in need of a cleaning. Everything is dirty The grill and other amenities were badly rusted. The unit is across the street from a boarded up industrial building and there is a lot of construction going on with the school around the corner and in the street. The community looks rough - overgrown trees/yards, and trash everywhere. We never went out alone and used the trolleys often (which is only a short 3-block walk to Canal Street). It is over a mile walk to the French Quarter, but it is easy walk - flat - but not very well lit at night.
The house fit us 10 girls really well! It was an easy uber away from bourbon street. Regarding the neighborhood I wouldnât suggest walking around outside. I had a few questions during the trip about cleaning necessities and I didnât receive a response. Other than that I would recommend this property as it is very cute and nice on the inside!!
This was the first time I used VRBO and I was really impressed with the property. It looked just like the photo's. A well maintained and clean home. There were 9 of us that stayed at this house and it was very roomy for all of us and no one felt cramped. I would highly recommend
Resident of Dallas but Philly born & big Eagles fan. So off to Super Bowl. Property was very clean and exactly as described; Prices all over town were jacked up for Super Bowl. We paid a premium but we were totally ok. with it, thought it was fair. Property was well stocked and only minor warning its not the greatest neighborhood. Its about a mile walk to french quarter and mile walk to superdome and we were four adults and walking in daytime there is no issue; at night you are ubering or driving. I lived in NOLA for 4 years in the 1990's and NOLA is a great walking town but not the greatest driving town. So as long as you UBER/Lyft at night- all is good. I think the owner is doing a good job and yes I would stay here again.
The interior of the VRBO is spot on. Updated, clean, and everything worked as described. Contact with the owner was awesome. But, I believe there is a reason for no pictures of the exterior and its surroundings. I am no expert but I believe the area maybe an up and coming area. It just not quite there yet. The location is just a short Uber ride to most of the tourists sites. Probably a little far for walking.
Really enjoyed our stay at this property, The host was incredibly responsive, The house is simply beautiful, And it was either a 20 minute walk to the quarter or a five minute ride. Either way we will be visiting this location again.
It's technically within walking distance but it is a long walk. It was about a mile walk to Canal street and to Bourbon St. I walk daily and it definitely seemed longer than a mile just because they have so many blocks and the pavement is very uneven so just know its not an easy walk. Other than that, I liked the location & neighborhood and the house itself. I would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The house was very clean and had plenty of sleeping space. The outside patio was pretty dirty, but we had no plans of using it to begin with. The location of the property was very close to the French quarter, but I would not recommend walking around the development at night. Even though the house was nice, the location did not seem to be the safest. Christian, the property manager, communicated well and answered any questions that I had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.
Came in town for 3 nights for the Taylor Swift concert. This place was perfect for traveling to the Superdome and the French quarter. The accomadations were as described. Beds were comfie. We would definitely book again when coming back.
The inside was awesome!! High ceilings with the windows were so pretty. The outside back of the house would have been amazing but it was completely grown over with vines. The neighborhood would not be what I would call super safe but there were cameras around the property. Over all my family and I really liked this spot though. Itâs close to a Walmart and close to the port if you are going on a cruise!
We took a family trip for our youngest daughters high school graduation. The size of the house was perfect for our family and the location was minutes from so many things to do. The host was responsive to all questions and they provided more basic necessities than we have seen before. Would stay again!!
