The property is super cool and funky and definitely one of a kind. There also is a great breakfast, included. The two drawbacks are that the air conditioning is not sufficient for a very hot day so don't check into this hotel on a hot day or days. Secondly, the television system is very strange. You have to bring all of your passwords with you because all they have are streaming services and no regular channels available at all. So basically the TV is not functional unless you bring your sign in and your passwords for whatever streaming services you have. That is the first time I've ever encountered that, and that should change immediately. They need to at least have some basic local channels so you can check out news or weather on the TV if you want to and maybe a couple of other non-streaming channels.

The hotel was a laid back and unique alternative to the feel of your standard hotels. Very convenient to the downtown for eating and shopping. The staff was very friendly and made the stay very enjoyable.

My room was too noisy and bright. The window shade did not go down all the way or block morning light. The A/C was super loud if I wanted to maintain a good sleeping temperature. The room was tastefully decorated as was the whole property. A beautiful and convenient place to stay, just not the best sleep I've had while traveling.

One night stay

We only had one night at this beautiful property and wish we had stayed longer. The hotel is out of this world for its comfort and amenities and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Great “high end” continental breakfast too! Highly recommend staying here if you’re ever in Portsmouth!

We had a wonderful stay. The room was small, but cozy. The staff was incredible, friendly and attentive. We would recommend the Hotel Portsmouth and would stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. I was underwhelmed with the customer service at this price point. Between email communication and interactions during our stay, it did not feel very friendly. The hotel itself is 10/10 but I don’t know that I would pay to stay here again.

Quirky not elegant.

Odd, quirky, but not top tier. At half the cost I would have overlooked no room service after it was requested. Poor sad breakfast. Odd room and poor quality linens. But I have to say I’m sure there were better options in Portsmouth.

We enjoyed our stay! Checking in was a little lengthy because your given a key versus a key card. Our key didn’t work and we had to get another key to another room. Other than that, it was a nice peaceful stay. The complimentary breakfast was nice. Everything is in walking distance so we didn’t spend too much time at the hotel but overall it was nice!

disappointed.

The bed in our room was horrible, very low to the ground with a ridiculously wide platform surrounding the bed. Asked for room service numerous times on day two and never received it. The staff was courteous and helpful, but I can’t say that I would recommend the hotel Portsmouth to friends.
