I recently stayed at the Grand Sirenis Resort in Punta Cana, which is advertised as a 5-star property, but my experience didn’t fully match the rating. The Good: • Breakfast was the best meal of the day – good variety and fresh options. • Lunch was okay, nothing special but acceptable. • The resort grounds look nice and well-designed. The Not-So-Good: • Food quality was disappointing. Very limited chicken options and most dishes lacked flavor. We tried the Mediterranean, Italian, and American restaurants, and all were quite bland. • Room cleanliness was below expectations. When we arrived, we found hairs on the bedsheets, which was unacceptable for a 5-star resort. • Aggressive VIP sales pressure: This was the worst part. They tried to sell us a $20,000 VIP package, and we ended up wasting almost 3 hours in their presentation. They start by calling you “family,” but the moment you say you want to think about it or decline, they bring in another higher-up and become even pushier. It felt uncomfortable and ruined part of the experience. Overall: The property is nice, but the food and room cleanliness don’t reflect a true 5-star standard, and the high-pressure VIP sales pitch is a major downside. Breakfast was good, lunch was fine, but most specialty restaurants were bland. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

the room was ok but can get better- we found insects and flies alot and alot and alot there - we had the family suite and that supposed to be the largest room they have but unfortunately the room was very small - the food was great - the staff are okay but English improvement speakers really very required - the activities sales man ( frantz ) is so disrespectful and he actually lied at mt after giving him the money needed for booking activity with him and later he hang up the phone on my face. other than that it was an okay stay

No towels to shower on room. Had to call to get towels every day and it took more than two hours to get them. I had to go to the front reception and talk to the supervisor to address my issue with towels. Please bring your own towels.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames. The resort has beautiful grounds with many pools, plenty of activities for kids, daily quizzes, shows, and great entertainment. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and overall service and food were excellent. The only concerns were related to the à-la-carte restaurant Las Barcas. We were initially told there was a dress code requiring long pants and more formal evening attire. However, when we arrived, the restaurant wasn’t very crowded, and most guests were dressed casually in shorts and beachwear. This was confusing, as we were informed that shorts were not allowed. In addition, the service at Las Barcas did not meet our expectations for a reservation-only restaurant. Taking our order took quite a long time, several different servers came to the table, and the welcome champagne was brought only after we had finished our meal. We expected a more attentive and organized experience. Other than that, everything was fantastic — great atmosphere, great staff, and plenty of fun for both adults and kids. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Old, beat up facility. Dirty walls, doors and light switches. Cracked pavements. Buffet food lukewarm, meat dishes dry and impossible to chew. When asked for a clean sheet, it took 3 phone calls and it was finally delivered on the next day. Their 5-star status should be removed until they renovate and better maintain their facility.

The rooms were dirty. Ask for wash clothes and never got any all week. It took forever to get a drink at the bar and at restaurants. Evening restaurants were good. But they would only reserve 3 nights at a time. So last night was by luck they found us a late night restaurant. Buffets were very bland. Never saw salt and pepper. No ice machine. So no sitting in room to make your own drink. If you are in a basic room(yellow arm bands) you were waited on dead last. They only gave us 3 towel cards for 5 people. Then when we check out told us were supposed to come back the 2nd day to get the other 2. Then because I didn't have the last 2 cards the wanted to charge me $20 because i didn't have them. And that's not everything. I will NEVER be back! And I will make sure and tell everyone not to go here.

The staff at the reception was not much help and not even really nice to talk to. Room was old and not the cleanest. Beach was covered by seaweed, which was cleaned on other beaches within couple of days, not at Grand Sirenis resort. Waterpark advertised as new was really old or at least looked old. Stairs to the main slides had number of holes and didn't save to walk on. In general resort was not in the best shape.

The food selections were bad considering the fish was overcooked and oversalted, and the beef was chewy. The worst part was the seaweed situation at the beach - half the week was ruined because staff was too lazy to clean the beach which we all mainly took this vacation for. Also the bartenders don't even service the beach which is very odd.

One of the five extremely disappointing stay for all three families we travel to grand Serranos Punta, Cana Arizona in aqua games with three families six adults and six children, and unfortunately, our experience was terrible from start to finish. The food was awful with very few choices and questionable quality because of this for adult adults ended up sick with stomach issues and diarrhea for four days which completely ruined the trip. The rooms were extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The sheet were old this color and looked grey brown instead of white. The bathroom was covered in mold and the whole room felt neglected. It did not feel hygienic or safe for families especially with the kids. The pool was also in unacceptable condition with LG growing all over clearly showing a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. Overall, this was one of the worst vacation experiences we ever had and we cannot recommend this resort to anyone basic clean less food safety and maintenance were all severely lacked, and it affected all three families on our trip.

We traveled in a party of 8. 6 of our party caught food poisoning. The beach was covered in Sargasm and there was no effort to remove it at all. These piles of weeds also had garbage and debris in them. The are with the swim up bar was the same as the shallow kids pool which meant our little kids had to enjoy the same pool that all the people who were there to get wasted were in. Most of them never went to the washroom, they were hammered and all the drunken games had to be played at the “kids pool”. The shows were set to start at 9:30 pm which is already late for small kids but some still hadn’t started by 10pm.

It was the WORST experience ever! DON’T GO! THIS HOTEL IS A TOTAL SCAM! ROOMS are dirty, not maintained at all: drawers are not closing properly, toilet paper holder is falling apart, cracks and rust on the walls and floors, dirt even after cleaning. STUFF is not polite, not attentive, not eager to help and serve at all. Almost everyone didn’t know how to speak English and looked sad like they are SLAVES there. FOOD is HORRIBLE! Almost disgusting. The same meals every day. No variety at all. Weird seafood salads ( that caused diarrhea). Our kids ended up eating buns with butter every day. Food preparation process wasn’t held properly: no gloves used by cooks, surfaces weren’t cleaned well. Dishes and glasses were dirty and looked very old/used/scratched. WATER in the buffet and restaurants tasted very bad. Entertainment was on very low level. Yoga classes were held on the cement floor right next to buffet. Same annoying song: ANIMACION SUPER was playing all the time. Pools smell like sewer. It was total disappointment. They should be sued for FALSE ADVERTISING OF this hotel. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR hotel!!! SO PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM Grand Sirenis.

Loved the staff and the waterpark, good food for the price point, clean room, well kept beautiful property, but there was a lot of seaweed in the water that is not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but it made the seaside pretty nasty. It’s pretty sad. We also found some of the drinks to be not as good as they could’ve been, in that if u like blended drinks none of the slushy machines seem to work.
