We have stayed here before back in 2019. We returned with a group of 15 people because we really enjoyed our first trip. Things have definitely gone downhill, but it is still an enjoyable resort. All trips have hiccups, but we did seem to have quite a few…. AC not working, coffeemaker spewing boiling water, ice machine doesn’t work, cockroaches. The maids were super inconsistent. Sometimes we would have enough towels for every person, as well as a hand towel and mat, other days we got only 3 towels for 4 people and no hand towel or mat. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning in a review. Food is average. Often out of basics drinks (I would estimate 40% of the time they did have any form of diet/zero pop) - they even ran out of rum. Main pool turned super cloudy a few days after we arrived and never cleared. Couldn’t see the bottom it was so murky. There are 5 restaurants that you normally have to make reservations for - but they didn’t tell us anything about them. When we inquired the next day we were told they are all prebooked and we didn’t get any choices on which restaurants or timing because we booked through Expedia and therefore don’t get to choose. This was incredibly frustrating as we travelled as a group for our 20th anniversary and couldn’t even do dinner together. We spoke to a manager after being told there was nothing they could do, and they did make it happen for us thankfully. Was never given any info (map, restaurant hours, etc).
