Overall a fine room, clean. Would have been nice to enjoy the amenities. We picked it for the hot tub and it closed pretty early (8pm) and missed using the facilities all together. Bar also closed quite early. Given the modern space in the middle of the city, we expected a little more.

Lovely spa hotel— don’t miss the desserts!

Gorgeous spa hotel that included a soaking tub in the room. The restaurant was a bit lackluster, with the exception of the desserts- which were truly incredible. The restaurant was apparently undergoing a management change when we were there, so it is understandable that the meal was a bit chaotic. Overall, a lovely hotel in a great location and we would definitely stay again.

One of my favorite homes away from home!

Pretty riverside views and a huge and fortifying breakfast are my favorite parts. I come to Iceland almost every year and it always includes a stay at Hotel Selfoss. And the water pressure is superb!

It was very fun to stay at the Hotel Selfoss with beautiful views of the river. Stay on floors 3 and 2 to ride up in the glass elevator with beautiful views of the river. Or walk up the stairs to your room also beautiful views of the area. Hotel service and amenities were great ! The breakfast had something for everyone and much better quality than the usual "breakfast included" offering

The hotel is mouldy and the staff not so friendly at the reception. You will get completely different treatment from when you stay in economy room vs one of the more expensive rooms. One of our friends decided to upgrade and got treated very diffefently after paying more.
