Family vacation with our kids and grandkids for their Christmas present. Waited until all grandkids were on summer break. Views were amazing. Pool table and game room a big hit.The adults enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub.
We were here for my grandsonâs graduation, most of my immediate family was able to be here and it was a very nice place to stay! Plenty of room, and the grands loved it. Lotâs to go and do in the area and great mountain background for beautiful pictures. Thank for this wonderful opportunity since live in flat land Texas !!
This cabin is gorgeous! However, the road to the home is tumultuous, especially at night! Road signs would be helpful! Outside of that we had an amazing time! Very spacious and plenty of things for kids to do.
There were 12 family members in our group all from around Kansas City MO. We loved the cabin and the view from the deck! Had a lot of room for all of us. 5 bedrooms and the bunk beds were exactly what we needed. The only issues were a leak in the water line. They kept us informed on the progress of repairing it. Not a big deal. Water off overnights. Beautiful place!
This property was great. The property was even ready for us early. It was very clean and inviting. This property was better in person than through the YouTube video or pictures. I also believe they have done some updating which was done nicely. We would definitely stay at this property again
We were originally booked in Arrowhead but the road was unpassable due to snow. Volunteer Cabin Rental management was very prompt in updating us and was kind enough to look for an alternative cabin for our group (18 people ages 2-77). Melissa was very kind and understanding and showed an exemplary customer service to us, her and Becky was very responsive. If youâre looking for a place to stay we were booked at Brookstone Cabin which had phenomenal views and great facilities but this property must be equally great too given the fact that Melissa and Becky manages these 2 properties and more. Thank you VCR!
We booked the cabin for 21 adults. We loved the cabin! We woke up early Saturday morning to get showers because we only had 5 bathrooms. So in the midst of trying to get ready to meet up with another ladies church group for breakfast, we discover we do not have towels and wash cloths for each of our 21 adults!
No I did not call to report it because they were not open at 630am. We had to use our shirts and sweaters that we had packed to dry off on!
The property was just right for our large family. There were 20 of us 11 adults and 9 children - We were very comfortable.
The only problem was a couple of the rails were loose on the deck - we reported it and they were going to fix it. We would book this property again.
Beautiful cabin! Very comfortable for our large group, lots of room for everyone to spread out. The view from the deck was heavenly!! The roads getting up to the cabin, are quiet scary but definitely worth the it.
Great cabin for family vacations, very spacious and comfortable. Exactly what we were looking for. The only thing missing was the snow. However, I'm glad it did not snow as I don't believe we would've been able to make it to the cabin. The road is very steep and has many switch backs. Other than that, perfect!
We really enjoyed our stay at Arrowhead. It is a spacious cabin with a beautiful view. The cabin still has a cozy feel despite being on the larger side. Beds were very comfy and there are multiple full baths which is great for a larger crew. Kids and adults loved the game area downstairs--pool table, arcade game, and basketball. Kitchen was well stocked, but I would suggest getting sharper knives as we had difficulty cutting/ peeling with the ones provided. Kid friendly silverware would also be a good bonus. As mentioner earlier, the view is gorgeous. The cabin is high on the mountain and the road to the cabin is winding and pretty steep at parts, so be aware particularly in the winter. It did snow while we there which was unusual for December, but keep this mind. Overall it was an enjoyable trip and we would stay here again.
The check-in process was as easy as it gets and the staff was extremely nice. The cabin was absolutely beautiful with stunning views. Would book this cabin again in a heartbeat.
Weâve been going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for around 35 years and this was the first time weâve stayed in Wears Valley. We LOVED it!! The view was wonderful, and there are a lot of little stores and areas to check out without the big crowds, yet still close to everything.
The house has tons of living space and beds. The deck is huge. We wish we had brought our corn hole game to set up on the deck.
Everything was clean and smelled good! We had a great time and canât wait to return!
The house is beautiful and layout worked great for us (extended family stay). Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The view from the deck was stunning! The location is very convenient for pigeon forge and smoky mountain park.
We did have a few issues. Everyone in our party had minor complaints of the beds being uncomfortable (too firm). It could use a good deep cleaning, there was a layer of dust around the perimeter of the carpet, blinds, and ledges. Not ideal for someone with dust allergies.
My biggest issues was the maintenance of the deck. There were several nails working their way up out of the deck just enough to be a problem. Unfortunately one of the teens in our party was walking bare foot to the hot tub and got a pretty decent cut on the bottom of his foot. Thankfully he is up to date on his vaccines since it was quite rusty and we had a medical professional in our party. I never write reviews but as a parent I would like to know what the potential hazards are before visiting.
The cabin was exactly as described and lived up to the reviews we had read. Very clean. Despite 19 & a baby, we had as much hot water as we needed. Plenty of room for everyone to have a bed. Had a couple of requests after first day and the staff addressed them immediately. The views were stunning.
We would definitely recommend for any large group looking for a place to stay.
Everything was easy to take care of. The employees at Volunteer Mountain Cabins were extremely nice. They explained everything very thoroughly. Beautiful view from back of cabin, overlooking Wears Valley and Townsend. 4th of July fireworks fun to watch from deck.
Roads to property are all paved and marked well but some are quiet steep but no problem for 2 wheel drive. House was nice and large enough for our whole family of 17. Plenty of sleeping areas. House was clean but has some wear and tear that did not interfere with our experience. I would stay here again.
