BEWARE!

BEWARE!! Completely unacceptable. Sent two emails got zero responses. False advertising at its best. AC a complete joke, hose hanging out an open window, outlets that don’t work,toilets that don’t flush so disappointing.

The room was absolutely awful and looked nothing like the pictures. They have 2 buildings under the same hotel name, one rated 3 stars and one four. I believe the photos are all from the four star hotel. There was a pungent musty-damp smell in the room, so much so it posed a health concern. Water damage visible on the walls coming through the wallpaper. Bathroom was very dirty and had black mold on the walls. This was false advertising and we feel like we’ve been scammed.

Good Location in central venice, however after reading all the recent reports of bed bugs it did bring paranoia. Our air con was dripping some unknown liquid onto the bedframe directly below, room had a musty smell & carpet looked worn with yellow tints on the edge of the red. Despite this, I would recommend keeping bags off the floor and hanging clothes up, thankfully didnt get bitten though but the fear of bed bugs was enough to make me unsettled for the duration of the trip despite being there for such a short amount of time. The hotel itself does clean sheets every day and I did notice that the bed itself is not placed against any walls, with at least a 15 cm gap, suggesting the property are aware of said infestation and are perhaps taking some measures of prevention. There were 4 of us in total but none of us appeared to get bitten. Door lock also didnt work properly.

Not the cleanest hotel. Bathroom very dirty, lots of ants and insects crawling around. Had to wear shoes indoors the whole time. Bed was uncomfortable, ac stayed at one temp so it got very cold at night. Shower was very dirty, drain didn’t work well.

Terrible property – a scam with zero customer service. Our AC wouldn’t turn off, and instead of fixing it, they disconnected the electricity in our room just to stop the AC from blowing. We had to choose between having power or freezing. The room was dirty, the door wouldn’t lock, and there was no responsible staff or front desk available. Do not stay at this horrible place.

Giving this place one star is a BLESSING, I wish I could give it ZERO stars!!! The old man in the reception, is extremely rude. He does not respect guests and especially not women, he told us to “be quiet” and “shut up” multiple times when we went to complain about the A/C not working, to us and another guest. The A/C kept shutting off every single hour, they would not give us the remote, we could not sleep, we ended up leaving at 7 am because it was impossible to sleep and the heat was horrendous. The entire place was filled with water damage, dirt and mold, I was coughing the entire time I was there. Do not waste your time or money on this place.

Such a cute location. Don't be fooled. POS and dubious staff who advertise an air-conditioned room THAT WASN'T! We politely declined and walked out. We had to. We were having a medical emergency with our traveling guest. Expedia not supporting their clients by going to bat for my traveling family by demanding a refund from the Messner folks. What's up with that?

No air conditioning - miserable heat in our room - staff lied to us and refused to act on our requests. We told them immediately on check in that the AC was broken; they assured us a technician would come the next morning. This repeated each day and all three night were miserable. Very disappointed as we had stayed here on out honeymoon 23 years ago and my wife lead tour groups to Venice before that who stayed at Messner. Never again!

Nice place, good value for the price, good food in the restaurant, very nice eating environment in the “garden”. My main complaint is that the check-in instructions sent us to some random alley with NOTHING THERE! After traveling for 20+ hours we were in no mood for that. We finally went to where we thought (hoped) the hotel was and were able to check-in. Why have special instructions that take you somewhere else?

While location is quiet and wonderful the hotel itself has seen better days. No batteries in tv remote and no remote for AC at all. Every 30min at night our AC would try to click on but fail and wake us up. Staff at restaurant are nice.

The room was very warm, the air-con was ON but not working, when we complained about it they said that gonna check it, but no one came for it, and after while I back to them they said we lost the remote control. In addition the 2nd day there was no water over 3hrs ... the location is quite and peaceful but bit far from the main touristic place. Apart of that, the food at the restaurant was good.

The hotel is really bad conditions. Carpets are stained and old. Air conditioning( per description) it had it, but it didn’t work and they did not provide fans. He room was so hot couldn’t sleep. The beds are tiny more look like a cot very uncomfortable. Management was not helpful when explained the AC situation. The site should not not advertise this hotel. If there was a lower score than 1 star it will be a negative score. Very disappointed
