The Best of Port Aransas

This property is spacious clean and comfortable. Excellent views of the ocean and ship channel. Long term (6 week) rental for us. Great location - short drive to great restaurants, shopping and the ferry.

Beautiful pet friendly

This apartment is everything we wished for a short trip with our teens and dog before they moved out to college. The apartment is spacious, clean, well equipped like a home from home. The location is perfect just walking distance from the beach. The pool in the house after a day in the beach for relax and chills is a plus!! And the view! We definitely will going back!!

Location, views, easy access to everywhere, wonderfully stocked, very clean, the pool is excellent. Only downside was all the stairs we have to climb. We're 70 yrs. old now & getting to be more difficult every yr. We love the place otherwise.

def stay here again

We had 2 issues (the front door lock was wonky and leak uner the kitchen sink) but that didn't impact our fun. Overall fwe ound our stay pleasant and would def book again. Wish we could've used the elevator to take all of our bags up to the 3rd floor. The pool was nice and was shaded after 2:30 so that was awesome in this Texas heat. We found it to be very clean and we were able to find everything we needed. The art and paintings were super cool, and everything was very nice. Our kids enjoyed the shared pool and our dog had room to move around securley with a gated fence.

Satisfied

Only complaint is the door gets stuck and the lock pad had a 9 digit code. We ended up getting completely locked out. The call center rep was nice and was able to get us in.

Great property, horrible property management

First, I would buy this property bc I love the location so much. Just be aware that Vacasa is property management company and you will not be dealing with a local or even same cust serv rep. so property questions or concerns can’t really be addressed or are answered same day.

Great bit not Spectacular

Check in time is too late (4pm), check out time is too early ( 10am) inless you want to pay. Property was on the third floor. It had an elevator not funtioning, hard on a person with a handicap or of age.

Amazing House & Location

This is our 2nd time staying at Gulf Breezes and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in A this time (top floor) and B last time (middle). It is super close to the beach - a 5-minute walk or a 1-minute car/cart ride. The pool is perfect, and love the shaded patio on the first floor OR sitting on the porch outside the condo. We had little kids with us, and the setup was perfect. We had our 3-year-old in the bottom bunk in the guest room and then put our 1-year-old in the master bathroom. For others traveling with kids - I will say that unit B has a larger closet in the master that fits a pack-n-play, so you don't have to sacrifice your bathroom, BUT Unit A has a washer/dryer in the unit (instead of on the 1st floor), so I preferred having that more conveniently and then just sharing the hall bathroom when our little one was asleep. We had a few bumps with having the wrong access code/leaking AC unit/mildew, but once we finally got ahold of local management they were very helpful and apologetic. Despite these challenges, we would still definitely return and hope to bring friends to stay in the other unit!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has good points and bad points. The good is that it is RIGHT on the beach. You can see the waves and ships passing and even hear the waves from the balcony. It is spacious for a two bedroom and you could comfortably sleep six or seven in beds and another three or four on the futons and couches in the living room if you had a big group. It’s pet friendly and there is a nice yard and pool you share with the other apartment. The washer dryer was very handy. The bad is that during my stay there were a lot of technical difficulties-- the fire alarm went off for no apparent reason, and when that happens it requires resetting the alarm in both apartments. It happens so often that their support line has a script for it. The keypad doors are temperamental and we got locked out, as did our downstairs neighbor. They can reset it remotely if you text or call, assuming you didn’t leave your phone inside since you didn’t want to take it the beach. After the second time we just left it unlocked. The internet did not function the first two days, then only in the living room the second two days. The kitchen is not equipped for cooking meals, there being no large frying pay, spatula, or roasting/baking pan. Most places also leave some supplies such as oil, sugar, spices but not here. There was also a shortage of dinner knives and teaspoons, though there were plenty of forks and tablespoons. We bought a frying pan and MacGyverred what else we needed. I think they should better equip the kitchen. All in all it was a nice stay because of its location and spaciousness.

What you see in the pictures is what you get (in a good way). They had a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. The place was clean and welcoming. This was my first stay with them so I was worried we would have to buy more things once we got there. We did have a few issues while we were there (a chain broke on one of the toilets, there was a busted tile from a previous guest, a sprinkler head malfunctioned which took our water pressure down to nothing the last morning we were there), none of these were really a reflection of the owner or Vacasa. What WAS a reflection was that with each call we received an immediate response and about the broken tile, the property manager called us immediately to reassure us she was already aware and had already arranged repair. I didn’t want to be responsible for someone else’s damage and she reassured me I wouldn’t be but appreciated us reaching out and letting them know of the damage. The view is amazing! The beach entrance is literally just around the corner. Rain, sun, or cloudy skies; we enjoyed all the weather from either the balcony or looking through all of the windows. Sunrises and sunsets were enjoyed everyday of our stay. The pool is a private pool but you do share with the others who are staying there. We really didn’t enjoy some of the people who were there while we were (they were a little inconsiderate for our taste), but the times they weren’t there; we took full advantage of. The pool is small and is meant more for relaxing and splashing around than swimming laps. Again, not a criticism but some may want to know. Looking at the pictures originally, I didn’t think it would be a large pool. Easy to get to restaurants, souvenir shops, and the local grocery store. We did a lot of research and combed through tons of reviews about how isolated some places were. This wasn’t the case with this rental! We have vacationed in the Rockport and Port Aransas area for many years and hands down, this has been our favorite. We are already discussing when our next stay will be.

Pluses and demerits, mostly good

Like most properties, this one has good points and bad points. The bad could all be fixed, though. Though it only has two bedrooms, there is plenty of bed space for those who don't mind sharing a room. If some don't mind sharing a bed, I think you could sleep ten or eleven people. It is very near the beach, and you can see the waves and passing ships from the balcony. Plenty of seating in the living room. Washer/dryer was handy, as was the dishwasher. There were some technical problems during our stay. No internet the first two days, but then they somehow added another booster and I think a network and we got on the last two days. The programmed door lock was temperamental and we got locked out, with our car keys and phones inside. Fortunately the resident of the other apartment was in and allowed us to use her phone. If that apartment had been unoccupied we would have had to walk to a store or something in our bathing suits and flip flops. We ended up just leaving it unlocked, as did the downstairs neighbor. The smoke alarms also went off in both apartments for no apparent reason, and took a while to fix. The kitchen was poorly equipped for actual cooking and meal serving, though if you just want to make sandwiches you'd be fine. If you want to cook you will need to bring or buy a large frying pan, spatula, and sharp knife, and maybe a baking sheet. There was a 6" pan, but that was too small for a family of four unless you want to cook each burger separately. We bought a pan but I didn't leave it. Wish I would have bought a spatula and knife or sharpener too. There are two knives, both dull as butter knives. There are plenty of pots. There are plenty of forks and tablespoons but few dinner knives or teaspoons. Plenty of plates, adequate glasses. No provisions such as cooking oil and spices that other places usually provide. Although the water in the sinks can get very hot, for some reason the water in the showers will only go lukewarm. Still, it is roomy and right on the beach. Leave the door unlocked, don't plan on cooking, take lukewarm showers and you'll have a great time.

Mini Vacay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's Beach House A, which is the 3rd floor, only 2 flights of stairs and not too bad. Aside from The Dunes condo/hotel in front of the beach house, you have great views just to the side of it. We rented a buggie/golf cart to go to and from the beach, it is a walkable distance though. We'd definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, Attractive and Wonderfully Located

This attractive property has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and an easy walk to the beach. Only problem was a bully front door lock.
