Accessible hotel self check in with lifts. Big room we had extra sofa bed in room even though only two of us . Very clean room large tv with easy to use shower . We could never sort out air conditioning so couldn't sleep at night due to being to hot. Lighting was not good any movement in room lights were full on . If u turned off difficult to find toilet. No tea and coffee in room but could get 24 hours downstairs. We prefer in room. Breakfast was very poor sauages bacon hash browns hard little scrambled eggs, we did get baked beans. Good selection pasties fruit. Bread hard coffee not good . First morning we went down wire on the floor i nesrly fell over it. Had to ask for it to be removed health and safety issue. We did have food in bar area in evening which you take to room . Good selection of pannis pizza bar snacks all freshly cooked and reasonable priced. Lovely bar area comfortable seating lovely bar staff. Difficult to get room ckeaned had to ask at reception. Great location but on floor we stayed at 10.30 PM young children running around screaming.

I would not recommend this property. It is not in a convenient location. They skipped cleaning our room and when we notified them they did bring towels. The light system is disorienting - goes off and on all night and although we had the thermostat turned down all the way the room was too warm and uncomfortable at night.

I had a pretty simple and great experience at YOTEL edinburgh. It was walking distance to everything but a little bit of the way so it was quieter which was nice. Check in and check out were quick and simple. The staff member on my check out asked me if I needed help with transportation completely unprompted which was lovely and he actually did help me find a closer spot to catch a bus to the airport. Room was great. I would have liked a little bar fridge however.

Front staff were wonderful in willingness to help with our questions. The room is modern and efficient, the bed and linens, bath towels, were all good to very good. I found it to be very quiet, with little to no noise from other guests, or hallway noises intruding into our room. The bed itself had a powered raise/lower head. Shower and bathroom were very clean, though separate, so shower exit was directly back to the room. Very small area at bathroom sink for placing items we typically use.

Excellent location...friendly staff... storage of luggage for the check out day was very convenient. The shower and toilet areas smelled very musty and we knew why as soon as we took a shower...the door wouldn't close tight and water went everywhere, including into the adjacent toilet cubicle. A very poor lay out of the room with no door between the sink and bedroom area and toilet and shower each having their own space with its own door. We couldn't find any way to have a light in the toilet area without putting on the full room lights...very inconvenient when using the toilet in the night. No receptacle in the bathroom area for hair drier and where it had to be plugged in had a mirror but no light. But, I stress...location and terrific staff were definite high points.

The room (for three people) was spacious and clean, and the location fairly convenient. But the lobby area (where excellent coffee was available in throughout the day) was drab and crowded with stranded travelers who were waiting to leave or waiting to check in. I'd emailed the hotel the day before to request an early check in but rec'd no response, and then when we arrived, was tersely reminded about the posted check-in time. I asked if our room could be prepared sooner rather than later and was given a non-committal reply. The staff just didn't want to be bothered.
