The location can't be beat. Walk out the door steps from the Grand Canyon. Saw rams, goats and deer just outside room. Close to free transportation and the train.

It’s right next to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon so the view is indescribable. Parking was limited as we drove around a bit just to find a parking place and driving around there wss kind of a hassle. The lady at the desk offered us a partial canyon view room at no extra cost even though that’s not what we booked originally. Getting to and from our room was not easy but once there it was nice enough. The best part was being right next to the canyon.

The property is located right on the rim trail. However the view of the canyon was obstructed by the roof of the lower floor. The room was dated but comfortable. The staff was very helpful and helped us with our suitcases. Parking adjacent to the building was limited but plenty of parking near the Bright Angel lodge which is a five minute walk. The location was perfect, being right next to the canyon and a short walk to the shuttle for the Hermit’s rest. There are two restaurants next to it. One right across from the parking lot and the other inside the Bright Angel Lodge.

This is what they mean my partial view. The lower half of the view is blocked by the roof of the lower building. Kind of frustrating but you do see the top of the canyon from thr room.

As soon as we entered the room, we could smell a sewage/mold odor throughout the space. The bed seemed old and sagged in the middle, making it uncomfortable for the back while sleeping. Considering its age, the condition is acceptable, but in terms of price, it does not offer good value.
