Konopiště (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkonopɪʃcɛ]; German: Konopischt) is a four-winged, three-storey château located in the Czech Republic, about 50 km southeast of Prague, outside the city of Benešov. It has become famous as the last residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, whose assassination in Sarajevo triggered World War I. The bullet that killed him, fired by Gavrilo Princip, is now an exhibit at the castle's remote museum.

"Ein rundherum perfekter Aufenthalt. Wir hatten ein Drei-Bett-Zimmer, was wirklich sehr geräumig und ruhig war. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen, so dass man den Tag genussvoll starten konnte. Nach Rückkehr der Tagesausflüge ist ein Getränk an der Bar zu empfehlen. Natürlich ist die Parksituation nicht einfach, weshalb sich die Buchung eines Parkplatzes einfach anbietet. Ja, es gibt kein deutsches Fernsehen, aber das sollte nicht die oberste Priorität sein. Alles in allem hat es uns super gut gefallen und wir werden dieses Hotel für zukünftige Besuche in Prag auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!"
