"We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. We loved our stay here, it was the highlight of our trip! Thanks to the Halvard hotel team :)"

"Positives: Room Comfortable. Restaurant good and plentiful with helpful asian staff. Super location with bus stop outside the door. Lift to help accessibility. Reasonably good value for money. Negatives: Reception inpolitie. Severe lack of middle management. Fire Alarm was activated during the night. No proper evacuation procedure. Obvious lack of fire training for staff. No one able to reset the technic and all elderly and special needs guests had to walk many flights of stairs. No roll call or guest checklist. I would still come again and would only cautiously recommend this hotel. "
