We got very warmly welcomed Bbythe staff which was nice. We felt very welcome and the occasional conversation enriched our first time in Turkey. The room was nice but one of three ceiling lights was broken, and it was just a little too dark for our taste and the blanket of the bed is more like a big kitchen towel than a real duvet, so be prepared if you are used to those. The location is very nice since you can reach all the important historical places by foot, so it is perfect for a first time visit in Istanbul for sure, but it was frustrating and exhausting to get to the hotel when going back, since you have to decline and ignore all those people trying to lure you into their restaurants. Our bathtub had cracks and was leaking, but just enough to enjoy a quick bath if you are into it. We recommend booking a room on the seaside and not on the streetside, since that side must be really loud because of all the restaurants around.
The staff and breakfast were beyond expectations and very very good.
