The accommodations were clean and modest. The location was excellent- close enough to walk to everything but far enough from Duval to relax. We went over Christmas break and never had issues getting pool chairs or it being overcrowded. We did not have any issues we needed to address with management, so I cannot speak to that The unit is in the gated community of Truman Annex, but along Thomas Street. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend ear plugs or playing some sort of white noise. The roosters can be up and at it as early as 3am. It's was a lovely visit and would absolutely stay again.
Second floor unit. King bedroom ensuite but the faucet it really, really hard to turn on. Upper porch does not have a roof so it is hot in the sun. Bike rental right down the street, but bike racks are really packed full and yo you cannot always find. A place to put them near the unit. But overall a great unit in a quiet, safe and central area.
The property was very clean. Cleaning supplies and other products were more than adequate. The location is excellent. We donât come to key west to watch TV, but the cable service there was unwatchable. It intermittently worked. The faucet in the master bath needs repair. A dust pan and good broom would be helpful. The linens and sheets were good. The washer and dryer were good. My only attempt at communication with the property managers was not answered. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The complaints are minor and would not preclude us staying again.
There wasn't closet or dresser space in the master. The faucet in master bath was near impossible to turn on it was so tight. There weren't enough outlets for our electronics and the bed side tables were tiny. The rugs in master bathroom must be thrown out and replaced! Master mattress was old and lumpy and too high! Location is PERFECT!!
Perfect location. Very clean and exactly as described. Our coffee pot broke and they had a new coffee maker to us in a few hours. Book it. You wonât be sorry!
I was pleasantly surprised with how roomy and spacious the condo was! Would definitely stay there again. Keep in mind you're assigned one parking spot per unit, otherwise you have to park thr extra vehicle on the street. I stayed for a week, and the king bed was very comfortable. Good location, not very noisy.
We are grateful for all the reviews about this property as they are all accurate. The unit is set in a quiet complex where everyone is very respectful of each other. The location could not be better. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was very convenient.
Perfect location - Walking distance to everything!
Whether you rent bikes, Uber, or walk, this is the perfect location with proximity to several highly rated, local restaurants and sight seeing establishments. Interested in the beach? Fort Zachary Taylor is your neighbor!
Villa Azul is comfortable, full of light, with a sunny balcony in the afternoon, on the edge of the Truman Annex: Thomas street is on one side of the unit, but it is a quiet street. The balcony was nice during the short days in January, but I suspect it would be terribly hot in summer: a sun umbrella would be a nice addition. The kitchen is moderately well equipped, if you want to prepare full meals for a long stay, you will need to add baking dishes. For casual meals, it is fine.
2 important info: the key to the pool is also the key to the TA gates after 6pm (short cut if you come back from watching sunsets on Malory Square); do not forget to register your car at the front kiosk.
Overall, the property was clean and functional. The bed was very comfortable. All appliances worked well, icemaker was a plus. The deck was well outfitted with furniture. The internet speed and smart tv were great. We really liked the use of the key code to unlock the door instead of keeping track of a physical key. The property manager was responsive and alerted us to a needed utility update that was scheduled during our stay.
There are some opportunities to improve as the tub drain in the master bedroom was slow, the master bathrrom sink faucet was difficult to pull on and push off and there were a few broken ceramic tiles in the master bedroom. The check out process seemed straight forward, except that the housekeeper showed up 45 minutes early and wanted to start laundry of the bed linens & towels and the Check-out text didn't contain the needed link. All-in all a great property, maybe a little over-priced, understandably Key West prices are up in general.
We had a great time in Key West. The condo was as expected and accurate per our expectations. A few things left to be desired. We did not have any backup toilet paper and no handsoap - which during Covid was a bit strange. We had to call the property manager because the master bathroom shower was so clogged with hair it would not drain. They left the hairball in our trash can for us to find later. They did respond quickly when we requested them to service the unit. Parking was âincludedâ but we had 2 notices posted on our rental car that it was going to be towed because we were not told we needed a visitor pass. Overall the unit, after all said and done, was clean and well maintained. The deck was great for hanging out and the beds were comfortable. The location was the best part, only a few steps from the beach and duval street.
Nice location. Very comfortable and made our visit more enjoyable having the space and kitchen. Most places we like to go to were within walking distance.
