An honest review, this place is not for everyone but it is a great hotel. Shared bathrooms and showers but everything is exceptionally clean, quiet and safe. I loved it and would go again.
I only stayed here one night, but I loved it. A very cool old building in an awesome location. The staff was super nice (as were the other guests I met in the dining area). It had everything I wanted, and the whole building felt retro without being run-down.
Itâs not like a regular hotel where every room has its own bathroom. Thereâs shared restrooms and shower rooms. The rooms are simple with no tv. To me this wasnât a bad thing but I wanted to put that out there for folks who were interested. The bathrooms and shower rooms were always clean. And they have a kitchen you can cook in and eat in if you choose to. It was nice and quiet.
Property is very clean and quiet and does resemble a bit more of a hostel than a hotel. Has a kitchen with fridge and stove. bathrooms and shower are shared, though i've never had to wait to use either one ever. Also the price is really good. The only thing I don't like is the bed quality is low. We're talking like cheap mattresses from the 80s vibe. only springs. But I'm old and my back hurts easily..
This is an old run-down walk-up hotel with bathrooms and showers on the hall, and it is not in nearly as good shape as the pictures make it look. For another $30/night, you can stay across the street at the Hotel Miyako, a "real" hotel with a restaurant, fitness center, parking, and elevators â which is what we did after one night at the Hotel Tokyo
