It was a great stay. Hotel desk could not be friendlier or more helpful. Regretfully there was no air conditioning and the weather was above average temperatures. It was a very pleasant stay though!

A reasonable price hotel with a big bathroom and toilet. Excellent and friendly reception who explained key places of interest around the hotel. Kudo to the reception staff. Flexible check in and luggage storage facilities. Good spread provided in the buffet breakfast and great service staff. Walking distance to the central train station or a short tram/bus ride to the hotel. A scenic river in front of the hotel and in the old town. Would recommend anyone to book the hotel, especially with such courteous, cheerful reception staff to welcome you and is always helpful with any enquiry. Would book this place again in Lucerne.

Staff were all great to us. Our room was large with higher ceilings and a powerful fan. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure in the shower. The only drawback is that there's no AC. We were in Lucerne in mid 80's, and the room stayed fairly cool during the day. Adding simple AC units would be a big bonus. The buffet style breakfast was excellent, coffee, juice, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt etc..., and will save you lots of money from the pricey breakfast and lunch options around town. The hotel is located on the river, and walking distance to everything. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a good hotel overall. Staff were great. Bed was ok. Quiet. A fan was amazing! It’s a little far outside the main city (8min walk to the train station). Shower had great pressure. Room was very small.

We stayed in a family room with 6 people. There were 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 twin beds or they could be made into 3 king beds. It was nice to have space to spread out and to have a kitchenette. Breakfast was incredible and the staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area and about a 10 minute walk to the train/bus station. This is a great place to stay and I would certainly recommend if visiting Lucerne.

Older hotel. Pictures on Hotels.com were a bit deceiving. The rooms with much smaller. We paid almost $300 for a King room. We were put in what looked like a dorm room on the top floor with 3 twins (2 pulled together). They did move us- becauseit was stiffling- but new room was small and basic. Biggest thing to know- there is NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE HOTEL.They gave us a fan, but we were up all night. Breakfast was very nice. Service was good. Location was excellent!

Amazing Stay

What an amazing view!! The balcony view was so amazing, loved spending the morning watching the town wake up with such an extraordinary view. Breakfast was great and the staff was amazing. Upon check in they explained the city and self guided tour (no need for an organized tour in this town!). Lucerne was absolutely one of my favorite stops on the trip and this hotel played a big part in that.

Ok.. First of all, let me say that whenever I come back to Luzern, I will stay at this hotel again. We were in room 104 and we loved it. We were a family of 4 adults and our room was a double room. Sure, the bathroom outside of the bedroom was an "inconvenience", but that did not bother us at all. We took the train from Zurich and we had 4 big suitcases. We walked on our way to the hotel from the trainstation, but I took an uber back when I checked out because it was not the easiest walking on the pavements with luggage, but the walk from the hotel to the train station was 7-10 minutes max, and a VERY PLEASANT walk. There are plenty of dining options close to the hotel, and we even used a laundromat one day that's super close. Staff is super cordial and were helfpul providing ideas of where to eat. If you are getting on the boat to Vitznau, Weggis, etc. The only minor recommendation was that even though the breakfast was AWESOME, after eating the same breakfast for 5 days I was a bit "tired". So, that my recommendation would be that they mix things up a bit, not a big deal for me though. Thank you for an AMAZING stay. Can't wait to return.
