Amazing hotel and staff! Clean, relaxing, luxurious and beautiful. The only comment is that you can hear some of the noise from the street and the food at the beach can be better. But great experience overall. Will be back!

Pretty to look at, but hollow. Lines at check in and very poor customer service. I should not have had to ask five times to have alcohol and/or the mini-bar removed from my room. That’s serious. Follow-up after I checked out was ideal. Lovely lady called me to apologize and it helped. I was offered $300 off my stay. I paid about 16k in total for 3 rooms for a 3 day weekend. The alcohol was not removed until Sunday at 4pm….

Go to the One Hotel instead

Very disappointing stay. Check in was extremely slow and I had to return to the lobby as the key I was given didn’t work. I booked an ocean view room which was more of a view of the parking lot than the beach. The toilet in the bathroom is horrible and the shower leaks all over the bathroom. We had to cancel our room service order because it took way longer than advertised. There were also several closures for private events that made a lot of the hotel inaccessible. Definitely far from a 5 star experience. The 1 Hotel is next door, similarly priced and by far a superior experience.

Was given the absolute worst room. Did not sleep for days. Room 338 despite having no cot status. Would never stay here again.

I usually have an amazing and relaxing experience at the W. This time started the same way except, starting the morning after my first night, there was a very loud truck in front of the hotel. It was making a constant loud running noise that disturbed my rest significantly. In addition to this, one evening I returned to a fire truck/police scene outside the hotel because a room caught on fire. This left me unable to access the hotel just prior to dinner plans. The hotel manager acted like she didn’t know what noise I was talking about when you could clearly hear the humming sound from the truck. She offered to comp the $87/night resort fee despite this being a >$5k spend including my stay and spa treatments. I was grateful but underwhelmed. I would have hoped for better compensation given the circumstances.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay. We were upgraded to a beautiful two BR suite on a high floor with ocean views. The service was impeccable throughout. Cleaning service was very thorough and would call to see when we wanted service. The resort location is the best - away from the hustle of South Beach but easy enough to walk to all the great restaurants. Only drawback is adult pool is small and shady - and one elevator of four was out of service during our week. But we had an excellent stay overall, and the beach and the boardwalk were wonderful and right next to hotel. Would definitely come back again and stay here.
