Love this place. Not fancy but clean and the staff is really nice. I like how check-in works. The cafe in the lobby is so comfortable and welcoming, a nice space with good coffee and a chill vibe. I’ll be back.
Clean, spacious room with beautiful details. Very nice staff at the cafe. Very convenient location. Slept amazing. We had a great stay.

The hotel staff were very responsive and easy to reach by email. The young folks working at the cafe in day time were very friendly. There was supposed to be check-in instructions sent through expedia, but it seems like there was an issue because we had to call to receive those (this could be an issue through expedia). There are no staff in the hotel at night which seems a little weird and problematic but we were able to get in. The bed had really strong smelling detergent on the blanket which gave me terrible asthma. There was also a weird like… fluffy foam blanket between sheet and blanket. The toilet seat and bathroom fan were broken and the shampoo and body soap in shower were very low and ran out. The room was mostly very clean but there was a lot of dust on baseboards especially around bathroom door. Overall, the experience was fine but for the conditions, I’d expect to be paying $60 not $170/ night. The AC worked well, the essential areas were clean, and the street was very quiet, so if you have to stay here… it’ll do.
Located on a quiet side street, walkable to shopping and restaurant and easy access by car. The coffee shop in the lobby is nice, great coffee and pastries. The room was a bit small but we were only there to sleep and shower. Our only complaint is that all the bed mattresses were very uncomfortable and we did not have a good sleep.
Easy access to Mont Royal and the art museum. The concierge was helpful with storing our bags and directing us to available parking. There is limited paid parking at the hotel. There is a sweet little cafe in the hotel but we did not eat there. The basic room was big enough, clean, and had everything we needed except for hair conditioner in the shower (the refillable container was empty). The curtains do not close all the way and one was partially unattached. The rest of the hotel is worn and all of the carpeted common areas needed vacuuming. The biggest problem was the air conditioner unit in the bedroom dripped water all over the floor and on the TV that is wall-mounted under it. Some touch-ups and basic cleaning would go a long way to making this hotel worth the cost.
Enjoyed my stay in this charming accomodation. The staff was so friendly- I was welcomed immediately! Comfy room. Great coffee! Quiet. Highly recommended!
I paid $237 USD per night to stay with my family of four in Room 102. While the location is nice, the property clearly needs more attention—particularly with cleanliness. The bathroom was in poor condition and looked quite unclean, which was disappointing after a full day of travel. We had no option but to use the facilities, but I expected a much higher standard given the price. Photos attached.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience to alert future guests. Management should prioritize cleanliness to meet the expectations that come with this price point.

I have stayed here several times. Generally a good experience thanks to location, staff, size of room. I understand that this is a modestly-priced travellers’ hotel, so I don’t expect luxuries. However a few improvements would be great. A.) A full set of towels, including hand towels; B.) A full-length mirror in all rooms - a trip to ikea would do it; C.) a dresser for clothes D.) MOST IMPORTANT- A full refresh of all the carpeting. First time I stayed here was in the early 1980s, and it looks like it hasn’t been changed since.
This is very convenient place if your objective is to not spend lot of money, walkable to restaurants, and places you want to explore in the city. The room is very small though.
We appreciated the great communication from the hotel in advance of our stay. The room is very bare bones, but it is very large and clean. Wifi seemed very slow.
