The actual property was great- it is on the atlantic side so keep that in mind if you were looking for caribbean waters. lots of restaurants- don't forget caracolas is a buffet breakfast too! less crowded. lots of bars, prompt service. if you are english speaking this is a spansh speaking country so don't expect everyone to speak english, learn a few phrases because not all resort staff know english (which is to be expected, it's another country). the cons: booking hotel transport was a nightmare. called three times- either no answer, transferred to a department that could not help me, or transferred me directly to punta cana and i got charged a lot on my phone bill. instead: message via expedia and they will message bakc with an email address to inquire. they will send you options and pricing, and they will get you form airport. also, the the hotels were not "vacation" quality to me. I did not want to be in that room at all. it smelled like smoke. staff was great and had someone come in to spray the room. but, it didn't help and the staff said it was because people are in smoking rooms and the smell gets in the A/C. not a big deal to me. our bathroom was not ready at all. no towels when we arrived. though the room was clean, the shower is in bad shape. it leaks from the glass barrier, which makes it look like the toilet was leaking but it was the shower glass barrier. mould in the shower. not good. also, the bed was not inviting :( pillows lumpy and uncomfortable.

Clean, nice resort. Constantly maintaining it as they were painting and trimming palm trees.( Worker even cut a coconut up for us to drink). Lydia A our concierge was Amazing!!! Anything we needed she provided for us immediately.

Resist needs updating. Rooms need to be painted. However, you get what you pay for and the sunshine, beach and pool were all worth it. I do have to say staff needs to be trained. A lot seemed miserable and annoyed all of the time.
