We loved the food options all within walking distance. This hotel is in a great spot, clean, great staff, and comfortable. I will be staying at Hotel Selfoss everytime I come to Iceland. The breakfast has everything you need to get off on the right foot. Close to the golden circle and southern sights. This is the place for me.

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed in on out Icelnad ring road trip. So good that we started and finished here. The check in was great. The Hotel staff were polite and accommodating. The breakfast is killer here. The buffet alone for breakfast is worth staying. The rooms were clean and quiet. You are downtown Selfoss, so many food and drink option within walking distance. Ill be staying here again for certain.

The room description on Expedia says there is a safe in the room, but there was no safe in my room - I think this is misleading of the hotel, so I am only giving it 2 out of 5. The Room amenities section also lists "Safe at front desk", but that should not be there, because it is not in the room. The hotel should remove the "Safe" from the Room amenities. My room was comfortable, but the hotel is a bit worn around the edges. Good location. Staff at reception were unfriendly, but the staff at breakfast were much nicer. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Great location in town on the river. Spacious room and good shower pressure but very small sink and shower glass didn't extend to floor so bathroom floor got wet. Bathroom tile was not heated. Great choice at breakfast although scrambled eggs looked rubbery. Great dinner choices across the street at Old Dairy Food Hall, best tacos ever!

stayed 2 nights first night TV didn't work no problem went to bed early next stay same problem they tried to fix it and could not so they upgraded my room and comped the best free breakfast on this rip. way better than expected as i booked the cheap room. location is at the bottom of the golden circle and on the road to vik just about perfect
