Great hotel. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Nice modern boutique style hotel with Switzerland chalet style decor. We stayed in the junior suite with the balcony and Matterhorn view, and the room was amazing and the view was breathtaking. The hotel was walking distance to everything, 5 to 10 minutes. We went to the spa one evening and spent some much needed time in the hot tub after walking 25,000 steps that day. The spa area was really nice and clean. The hotel also provided a free shuttle to and from the train station which was nice. Breakfast was great as was there. Homemade bread and baked goods in their bakery. Their drinks were great as well especially their Pine spritz. I researched alot of hotels in Zermat and I’m glad that I selected this one. I highly recommend.

The REX hotel was carefully curated with a beautiful aesthetic and vibe. It is located slightly off of the main street so it's a welcome break from the crowds but still has shopping and very close to the main road. The locations is walkable with a carry-on to the train station. There is an on-site bakery, restaurant, bar and a beautiful front lawn to just enjoy and relax on a sunny day or cozy night. There is also a spa area with hot tub, pool, and saunas. The staff are kind and informative. They include a thoughtful welcome treat for you and the mountain view from my room was a dream. How can I forget breakfast? You know with management that cares about details that breakfast will be a high quality meal. You can order dishes and fill up on the breakfast buffet that includes juices, coffee, wellness shots, meats and speciality cheeses, bread, oatmeal and yogurt, eggs, or order potato and spinach pancakes, pancakes and on and on!

My experience at The Rex was incredible from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable everyone was so helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful views that truly take your breath away. A special thank you to Ari and Liam, who were exceptionally responsive and helpful with any questions I had throughout my stay. Breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to fuel up for a day on the slopes. The ski equipment room was super convenient, and the spa was the perfect place to relax after a long day. I would definitely recommend The Rex to anyone visiting Zermatt can’t wait to return!

We can't say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful from helping us set up reservations before we even arrived, to making sure we had all of the information and help we needed during our stay. The hotel is beautiful. We stayed in the Junior Suite with the Matterhorn view and it was more than we even expected and the view was incredible. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to all of the things in the city as well as the ski lifts. We were able to purchase our lift passes at the front desk and rent all of our gear at the shop across the street with a discount as being guests at The Rex. The spa was the cherry on top. It's included with the stay and didn't require any pre booking. There was a large hot tub, steam sauna, Finnish sauna, large pool, cold plunge, and various other hydro therapy experiences in a serene setting. We loved treating our sore muscles after skiing each day. Would definitely stay here again. 10/10!

This was a very nice hotel. It was beautifully redesigned with a very rustic and warm feel. We loved the morning breakfast spread. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the spa every day and loved the traditional Swiss dry sauna! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Zermatt.

We had a truly exceptional stay here. The service was extraordinarily good. The staff was a small team so we felt like we knew them by the end of our 4-day stay. They were all super friendly and helpful. They enthusiastically helped us reload our ski tickets, make dinner reservations throughout the trip, etc. The facility was also awesome. The spa exceeded our expectations and was never too crowded. The location is great if you want to be equidistant from the two ski area terminals, and there were plenty of options for dining, services. The rooms were also very nice, the property has obviously updated recently. Very nice style for a ski lodge. Had a great time.

The Rex is a five-star property in every regard, from service to room to amenities. Blending alpine rustic with modern chic design, The Rex leaves no detail unattended to. Every item and detail in the room has been well thought in its design and aesthetic. The bed is cozy, the mini bar has the right snacks and the light switches next to the bed make you wonder why no one else has them. The breakfast is delicious from the homemade breads to the tea selection. The spa is clean and welcoming. The balcony view of the Matterhorn is almost unbelievable. Just book this hotel. Worth every cent.
