We enjoyed our stay in the woods. The cabin had all that we needed and the few queestions we had were answered quickly. The space was clean, well-appointed, and as described. It was a lovely trip!

Alleghany Inn
There is no bar but JBs restaurant is on the property and is terrific (cash only). The room was clean, the staff was friendly, it was quiet, and has a lot of parking. If I’m ever up that way again, I’ll stay there.

Check in was difficult with a person who we had trouble understanding due to a very heavy accent and who appeared to have difficulty with our expedia reservation. She also refused to believe that I had a disability. The room had a definite musty smell and the carpet looked like it needed to be shampooed. ...
