Really nice hotel. Comfortable and excellent service. The very friendly staff all went the extra mile to make things nice. The location is great too, it is out of the hectic center, but only a 10 or 15 minute walk to places of interest. We loved walking along the grand canal too.

We only stayed the night and left early the next morning so it's hard to give it a fair review. The rooms were clean and the beds and sheets, comfy. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The rooms are quite small and there aren’t any views, etc, but overall pleasant. The parking onsite is free but very limited. One slightly disappointing aspect is that the lounge service is very, very slow. We waited about 15 minutes to be greeted by a waiter and another 45 min for our dishes to arrive.

A really great one night stay, was up to meet some friends and we had dinner around the corner. Excellent breakfast the next morning, lots of options for everyone. Bed was comfortable, shower was good and plenty of tea and coffee in the room. My only very minor complaint was the lighting in the bedroom. The bathroom lights and the bedside lights were connected for some reason. You couldn’t have the bedside lights on without turning on the switch for the bathroom. The lights at the bed did have on off switches but they wouldn’t turn on if the bathroom lights weren’t on…. It was very very bizarre. Other than that, there was no complaints at all and I will definitely stay here again for any future visits to Dublin.

Easy access to the airport. Bus right outside that takes you to the centre of town. The room was clean but quite ugly. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast was decent for the price.

Lovely hotel, everything you need + felt special.

I'm not precious about the hotel I stay in for work, just a clean, functional room is all i need, but the Mespil felt much more special, like staying in a really nice hotel, which was quite a treat. The room was a good size and had all the amenities provided [shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, hand & body lotion, a hairdryer, iron & board, safe, kettle for tea & coffee pod machine (plus bonus caramel chocolates), small fridge with water - though the tap water is also safe to drink, dressing gown + slippers and a face cloth and shower cap (note no cotton pads or buds, which is fine but useful to know take your own if you need them)]. Blackout curtains, a safe, plenty of clothes hangers, a rain shower plus handheld section and a shelf for your own bits eg facewash, magnifying mirror (that actually worked - much to the horror of my un-plucked eyebrows). There's a useful under-sink night light in the bathroom for easy late-night loo visits without it feeling like that moment they turn the lights on in the club at the end. Air con was quiet enough to not need ear plugs (so was the hotel actually) and I didn't find too many lights on at night - I am easily disturbed by those 'dot' lights on TVs, alarm clocks, smoke alarms etc and always travel with an eye-mask (and have been known to tape over them) but I didn't need the mask in my room here. There is also a water bottle refill point on the ground floor opposite the lift. I would definitely stay here again.

Had received lots of emails in the runup to our stay. Booked this hotel as there was parking . But the emails said parking was limited. On arrival all 6 spaces at the front were taken so we did as advised on the emails and payed parking on the road- very expensive. When we got to our room & looked out the window we could see another car park with spaces belonging to the hotel. We moved our car to there to save us having to top up the on street parking but had already forked out €12 unnecessarily. In the email communications we really should have been told about this car park! Also, we had booked two room. One was for my son & his friend. At check-in although both rooms allocated had long size beds. We were told that tim he second room for my son & his friend the beds would be separated later that evening for them. Unfortunately when we arrived back after 1am this had not been done and at that time of night we wanted to get to bed and were not going to wait for this to be done! Apart from that the hotel was great and the breakfast was lovely.

Lovely stay in Dublin. Staff are very helpful. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and loved walking along the canal. Short distance to city center. We walked everywhere! Will be in Dublin a lot over the next few years and plan on staying here again.
